There are many people here that I skim, but none that I hide. One poster that I normally find quite irritating will post a jewel from time to time that makes skimming his other dreck worthwhile. Continuity is also lost when you hide someone. Announcing that you are hiding someone comes across as rather high school and sets you up for snark.

We had a thread on hiding recently - perhaps someone more patient with the search feature will come along and post it.

realizing that this has come up before, i will just give my own opinion as a sub.

to me a sub is one who willingly submits and give control over his/her activities and actions to a Domme/Dom. the length of time may be temporary of for an extended or indefinite time. the sub wants to serve and please its Master/Mistress.

a slave is viewed as property of the Domme/Dom even though volutary. full contril is given away by the slave and there are less limits on the slaves use. the slaves can be sold, loaned or given to a new Master/Mistress without its permission.

the definitions are not cast in stone and there are many variations to the differing roles and status of each.

I am new here but I was under the impression that a submissive could sit and talk with her master , ask questions and have a say in things that will affect her ,....where as a slave is one that gave over all control to the master .......is this so?.....

It entirely depends on the relationship.

My Master classes me as his slave. To others, I am more like his sub.

In the end it doesn't really matter - it only matters to the two people within the relationship.

Well put! And in the end, it's the last sentence that matters in any of this stuff.

But...I just have to add, the difference between submissive and slave? Submissive has 10 letters and slave has only 5. They both start with "s" and end with "ve". :D

Few people fall into those two categories that neatly.

Giving all control to your master doesn't mean, in any way, that you don't have the opportunity talk at length about how things affect you.

I certainly get a say.........right up to the point where the mattress meets my face and a cock is driven into my arse. That generally means ...*end of say*.

Jesting aside. Supposedly, yes, it's often said that a submissive may have a far bigger say in the D/s aspect of the relationship and *supposedly* the slave accepts all authority and control from the moment she accepts HIM.

Generally, relationships aren't QUITE that simple....though they CAN be.
