Court turns away lawsuit over Obama eligibility
quote:

The Supreme Court has turned away another challenge to President Barack Obama's eligibility to be president.
The high court on Monday refused without comment to hear a challenge brought by conservative activist Alan Keyes and other members of the American Independent Party. They contend Obama wasn't eligible to be president because he was not born in the U.S., and thus not a citizen. U.S. courts, and the Supreme Court, have previously thrown out similar suits.

Keyes wanted the certification of Obama's victory halted in California until there was documented proof by a state official that he was eligible to be president. The Supreme Court of California threw out the lawsuit.

I wonder what ever happened to the companion suit Alan Keyes also filed at the same time, contending that John McCain was not eligible to be President either because McCain was born in the Canal Zone and not " born in the U.S.".

Keyes is still pouting because of the 43% margin beating Obama gave him in 2004. He still hasn't formally conceded the senate race to the President.

If people who see this as a genuine issue (and it isn't) would spend this sort of energy and time in their own communities, everyone would be better off for it. Some people just have their priorities in life royally screwed up.

I'm just waiting for the day when the parent of one of these wackos says to them "uhm...we adopted you, you were born in Yugoslavia" or some other nation outside the US o' A. Bet their sense of self goes through the ringer then.
