To some who think for themselves, Obamas assassination of American citizens purely by executive order is viewed as being on the same level as enhanced interrogation of high level terrorism suspects...

Cheney says Obama should apologize to Bush administration after al-Awlaki killing

Former Vice President Dick Cheney says that following the killing of Anwar al-Awlaki, President Obama owes the George W. Bush administration an apology.

Cheney, speaking on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday, offered support for the targeted killing by drone strike last week of the Yemeni-American radical cleric al-Awlaki, but he said that Obama now needs to reverse his past criticism of how the Bush administration interrogated suspected terrorists.

The Obama administration "in effect had said that we had walked away from our ideals or taken policy contrary to our ideals when we had enhanced interrogation techniques," the former vice president said. Al-Awlaki's death indicates that members of the Obama administration "clearly have moved in the direction of taking robust action when they feel it's justified," Cheney said.

"You'd like an apology, it sounds like?" host Candy Crowley asked the former vice president.

"Well I would," Cheney responded, "I think that would be a--not for me--but I think for the Bush administration."

He'll get his apology after his war crimes trials

Too bad for you the Bush-Cheney admistration sought and obtain Congressional approval for whatever you Obamaminions consider "war crimes", while the Obama-Biden has not.

They would rather talk about anything than this

ORIGINAL: luckydawg

So do you or do you not support Obamas continuation of the Bush/cheney policies, even making them more extreme to actually assassinating Citizens with no due process?

Or perhaps you are afraid to actually talk about the topic, preferring to take a comment of mine to someone else out of context, to throw insults?

We are happy to talk about it and have told you repeatedly, you have no credible proof this has happened the way you are portraying it.

We all know, for example, that all the republicans in the house are taking millions in bribes to continue their corporate appeasment policies, and are murdering thousands of american citizens every day. And I have exactly as much proof as you.

So. It has all been decided then.

Lucylastic -> RE: Cheney: "Obama should apologize" (10/6/2011 6:43:09 AM)

Please pass on my sentiments...we have no desire to talk to either of them about anything, ever.

Do you support the continuation of Cheney policies by Obama?
Do you support the assasination of a terorist who was also a US citizen?

Don't dance around the subject by saying "alleged". If a US citizen is a terrorist and gathering followers in the sand box, do YOU support vaporizing his ass?

luckydawg -> RE: Cheney: "Obama should apologize" (10/6/2011 6:55:35 AM)

except it is alleged untill there is a trial, no dancing involved.

And as I am not a coward, the answers to your questions are Yes and Yes.

I am neither a coward, nor a hypcrite, nor hampering our war against Al queda for domestic political gain....

Which everyone, who supports what Obama is doing yet considers Bush a criminal, has shown themselvers to be.

As I have said for years, we need to bi partisanly work out a way of dealing with these folks outside of the criminal system.

We absolulty need to take action, and desperatly need oversight of the process.

Hillwilliam -> RE: Cheney: "Obama should apologize" (10/6/2011 7:03:38 AM)

Good.... Hell with good......Excellent. No dancing around as many of your colleagues do.

You do, of course, realize that there are those on the far Right who would take that first yes and twist it to call you an "Obama lover" LOL.

Had you insisted on the "Due Process" that some on the Right are saying that guy never got, you would be called "Soft on Terrorism".

It's interesting how with skillful spin, those on the far Right or Left can spin damn near anything to reflect negatively.

I think if you look at the Herman Cain/gun control thread and carefully read Blitzer's questions, you'll see the same thing. No matter how Cain answers, he either comes off as anti-gun which is political suicide for a Republican or anti state's rights which is also anathema to Republicans.

We are still awaiting the admission of Bushes lying about WMD.

Which exectutive order was that where he said execute american citizens.

Yanno, executive orders are searchable...

http://www.archives.gov/federal-register/executive-orders/obama-subjects.html

Cheney's opinion is as valuable as used toilet paper.

We are still awaiting the admission of Bush haters/Obama lovers that POTUS & FLOTUS Clinton et al in POTUS Clinton's adminstration et al prominent Congressional Democrats of the period all repeatedly publically stated that Iraq's WMD posed such an imminent treat to the region and the U.S. that military force would be justified to remove said threat and, if necessary, effect a regime change.

The usuper POTUS/CINC didn't issue an Executive Order to execute American citizens...he issued a military order.

Not all military orders as searchalbe, ya know?

Your opinion is as valuable as sour kool-aid...

That sort of thing is called intemperate rhetoric, much like the Iranian 'Death to Infidels' or Nikita Kruschev's 'We will bury you' or W's 'Bring it on', and 'Mission Accomplished' and..........

So, you have invisible and incredible proofs with which you regale us. Do you at least got a date he issued this and who it was to? Cuz I guarentee you he didn't issue it to private muckenfutch down there in the desert, and the Joint Chiefs (and retired Commanders who were active at the time of this supposed order are strangely silent on their eyes only access to it).

We all know W had american citizens killed for voting against him, and for telling the truth about him and republicans. (those orders are invisible as well...) but nevertheless; sound as the dollar and you can take that to the bank.

Yours is; in the extreme, less so.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ...................................

Sorry,.....but someone who commits treason against the United States and tricks us into war and invading/occupying an entire nation, doesn`t have the right to demand anything, let alone an apology.

Ya`ll can`t help yourselve`s and this is the way you`re expressing it.

We denounced bush for torturing people.

And lying us into a war.

And for needlessly getting our soldiers killed.

And for needlessly blowing a trillion dollars of our money in Iraq.

And that wasn`t just the left.EVERYBODY accept the cool-aid drinkers thought bush was a complete failure.

And still do, apparently.
