Indeed it does. I had the best of all possible worlds for 10 years before he passed away.

Well not to just parrot the others but of course it does... I've seen some relationships based on that, and have even been slightly jealous. Just slightly, as personally I couldn't base a relationship on D/s. For me D/s is an important part of my sex life, and it gets me very aroused and is a of fun, and I hope its the same for my partner, but I would never want a whole relationship based on it. For me its overall themes are counter productive to love; for me love is based on equality and mutual respect.

Of course it exists, but it has to be with the right partner. One who is on the same page you are, has the same values and respects you as, well, you. Takes time though, took me almost 8 yrs to find the man I'd been looking for. He completes a part of me that was sadly lacking. For that I am grateful. He holds my heart in his hands as I hold his in mine. We're both very appreciative of that and know to treat each other well. Past relationships have taught both of us that finding the one that really matters is indeed be a rare find to be treasured.

I had 14 years together....the romance came first. call me old fashioned, but that's how I prefer it.

Absolutely.
