If this video was shot 'as is' then yeah, the police officer might be at fault for not knowing the exact phrasing on the law. I'm not sure which state this was taken in, and hence, which 'right to carry' or 'ccw' is in effect. The text that accompanies the video gives the exact information for the reason of the video: harass the police officer. That's right, this wasn't just some random dude with a cellphone watching some guy get beaten to the ground. This was premeditated filming for the sole purpose of attacking the goverment. We are not given the situation that occured BEFORE this guy walked up on the officer. It could be argued the officer was doing his job in accordance to the laws of the area; but we are not given that information. Why are we not given that information, RO? What is the officer's badge number? Who is he? Who is the guy filming the video? Where is that location? What was the nature of the situation BEFORE this guy with the camera showed up? That's not in the video or the text.
Assuming of course this wasn't staged, and all those within are just actors (equally possible). Its not hard to find a police officer's uniform at this time of the year. And its possible there could be a disgruntled officer that has a chip on his shoulder about the laws regarding 'right to carry' and 'ccw' from the pro-firearm industry. There's alot of information not present to determine this one way or another. How would any of us really know the difference if this was staged or not?
Likewise, the film guy was leading the officer away, like some sort of ambush. Notice the officer becomes mroe aggitated as they walk back 30-50 feet from the police car? Police officers are trained to reconize ambushs, and its a well known fact that criminals with firearms dont like police officers enough to kill them. Why would a criminal wear a firearm on his hip? I dont know, maybe he has a politican's ego. Again, we are only given the terrian for about 190-210 degree's around the area. What's in the other 150-170 degree's of terrain? Could someone hide in that area with the sole purpose of ambushing and killing the officer?
This guy wants to talk about the 2nd Amendment, that's fine. Unfortunately these kind of 'debates' devolve into 'This is my rifle and this is my cock!' shouting maches rather than a real debate on the nature and structure of wording of the amendment. There's not enough information presented here, to make a honest discussion on what actually happened. And I'm sure you will not provide the additional information to the above questions.
