once more it seem I've walked into a pit of gloom.  I would hope my scribbling offend no one; and pray that some might even find it at the least entertaining for a brief moment. So again into the breach; an original poem for your amusement.

               In Time

Shadows darken over sunset hills
Empty trails are quiet en still

Heat of day cooled in evening tides
I bid farewell my love; ti's my time to die

To this end I was born
of love and passion ner forsworn

Yet thee my love; I can love no more
I am parted by deaths dark door

The world I knew; I bid thee peace
Now close my eyes in eternal sleep

To slumber here within these hills
Till all creation lies quiet en still...

MY EMPTY THROAT
SKIN DRY
EYES OPAQUE
I THINK I AM DYING
FEAR
YOU LIE IN BED
ASLEEP
DREAMS OF YOUR LOVER
THERE ARE NO ANSWERS
NO LIFE IN HERE
I LOOK OUTWARDS
BUT CAN'T SEE IN
I TOUCH GOD
AND HE BURNS
I CRY
AND TURN AWAY
IN YOUR SLEEP
YOU START
AND REACH FOR HIM
I GET OUT OF THE CHAIR
ICED WINDOW
WALK TO THE BATHROOM
NO WAY OUT
IN FOR GOOD
I PUT OUT MY CIGARETTE
WATCH MY WRISTS
BLEED
TO THE FLOOR
I LOVE
YOU.

Yes, I wrote all in caps then...damn, I'm glad I'm no longer twenty...<smile>

Hi CERCKL; always wanted to talk to you. simply love the avatar lol. thanks for your poem, but was too light hearted for my mood i fear....I only wish i was twenty, but i did give up smoking. Hey do you thing god smokes? now there is a question lol again tks ... see you on the boards don't you know.....and i don't think you were a bad poet at all. you wrote what you felt...no good or bad to it.
