Has anyone used one?  My playpartner recently got one and neither of us has ever used it.  I cant seem to find anyone who knows about them.  I want to do it, but I want to get more info first.

can we say OWWWWWIEEE?

These things are not toys. Every year, a couple of people are killed by police (accidentally) with these devices.  I wouldnt advise using one in play, anymore than using a loaded gun.

Just to make sure we are on the same page.  Your partner has a devices that shoots out two little wires that have barbs on the end about 20 feet?

If the device has to touch a person, it's a stun gun, a lot more common thing

Either way, its a weapon, and should be treated as a weapon. It can kill you.

Just shows how "your mileage may vary."  I also have a 100,000 volt stun gun.  I also have two play partners who orgasm when I use it on them.

Now, I'll admit to having modified it so the current goes through TENS-type contact pads to eliminate the small burns.

Stun guns and Tasers are two totally different things! Stun Guns are made in China toys and some are better than others. Tasers are made by just one company and are used by professionals. Google Taser and go to their website to see the effects of a real Taser. To write an article and not know what you really have is dumb. That person had a stun gun, not a Taser; would you trust your safety to a person who doesn't even know the name of the tool they are using?

a "taser" is a small device which looks and opperates something like a pistol.  when "fired", it shoots out two electrodes which can pierce clothing and skin.  these electrodes are connected by wires to the gun and send high voltage electricity into the target.  anyone hit with these electrodes immeadiatly looses all muscell controll, falls to the floor, and in most cases spasms uncontrollable until the electric current is stopped.
a "stun gun" is a handheld devices with 2 small protruding electrodes.  They can put out high voltage, and can shock and hurt, but rarly do they cause the loss of muscell controll  to the extent seen with tasers.
