Breaking news this morning on Obamas only real business experience

Solyndra loan deal: Warnings about legality came from within Obama administration

Energy Department officials were warned that their plan to help a failing solar company by restructuring its $535 million federal loan could violate the law and should be cleared with the Justice Department, according to newly obtained e-mails from within the Obama administration.

The e-mails show that Energy Department officials moved ahead anyway with a new deal that would repay company investors before taxpayers if the company defaulted. The e-mails, which were reviewed by The Washington Post, show for the first time concerns within the administration about the legality of the Energy Department’s extraordinary efforts to help Solyndra, the California solar company that went bankrupt Aug. 31.

The FBI raided Solyndra last month, shortly after it closed its doors.

I wonder if there are any on the left who can reasonably discuss such scandals directly, and on topic

Some, but it only takes a few rotten apples. Especially when they understand that they can make the whole thing go away by being shits on the thread.

Shame on you, Ron.

"The head of the U.S. Department of Energy's Loan Program Office has resigned amid a fiscal firestorm over the bankruptcy of a company that received a $535 million federal loan, DOE Secretary Steven Chu said.

The loan program's executive director, Jonathan Silver, was planning to leave his post and return to the private sector this fall, Chu said in a written statement.

Silver informed Chu of his intentions in July, "shortly after the fiscal year 2011 budget was completed by Congress and it became clear that no significant new funds were included for the loan program," the energy secretary said."

Yeah, sure he was going to resign. Like Obama's "jobs bill" wouldnt wind up with more funds for the DOE to direct toward Obama's bundlers.

TheHeretic -> RE: Obamas Business Experience In A Nutshell (10/8/2011 11:24:35 AM)

Maybe you missed it, Mike, but that "Sanity post" you are so okay with derailing to destroy contained a hell of a lot of documentation from solid, mainstream sources, on a subject that is of considerable interest. The President is currently demanding another half trillion for new "stimulus" package, and they don't seem to have done very well in managing the last one.

slvemike4u -> RE: Obamas Business Experience In A Nutshell (10/8/2011 11:28:58 AM)

Maybe you missed it Rich,but the post you responded to, and added an additional comment on,was one more whine of sanity's about "leftist" posters and their posting style.
Maybe you want to go back and check?
If sanity wishes for the subject of his threads to be addressed let him stop derailing his own threads with his usual "leftist","libtards" bullshit.
Pot,kettle,black bullshit...as is usual.

We're supposed to get upset that a half billion dollar loan guarantee went to a company that was playing politics? What were we supposed to do about Haliburton and KBR's billions of dollars paid by the government for work never done and for food no one ever ate?

Sanity -> RE: Obamas Business Experience In A Nutshell (10/8/2011 11:40:07 AM)

Bush isnt president ken, thats another thread.

This thread is about how Obama promised change but is instead delivering the worst kind of crony capitalism

slvemike4u -> RE: Obamas Business Experience In A Nutshell (10/8/2011 11:41:34 AM)

That is not an issue....ot wasn't "perpetrated" by a Democratic" administration.......please do not derail sanity's thread [:D]

Sanity -> RE: Obamas Business Experience In A Nutshell (10/8/2011 11:51:26 AM)

Theyre everyones threads, that leftists (generally) cannot debate the actual issues at hand and must instead resort to these constant derails, BS personal attacks & ad hominems etc is to everyones detriment

Solyandra,
mike. Ever heard of it?

There are several links in the OP, if you haven't.

The fact that the OP more than once said, TRUMP for president, means that this is just another bash for Obama, done simply because he can, not because he(OPs) is intellectually honest about failures in business's and presidential ability

There you go, Mike. Make it personal and nasty. Get that padlock down quick. Why am I sitting here reminded of the same punchbowl shitters who once claimed I was making up the story of Obama and the Rezco Lawn, until I linked them to Obama himself describing his decision to do it as "boneheaded?"

(you have mail)
