If that reply was to me LaT, all I can say is you are mistaken about my intent in posting.

No, it was in reply to the whole fucking thread.

The uber sensitivity to a bunch of strangers written words around here amazes me most days. I often wonder if people really do get as bent out of shape as their words convey.

Unless he was in a mobile home, you're the one who kept walking past his window...

Nice judgement of two underage kids (at the time). He purposely exposed himself, standing right up at the window when we went by, walking home from school. It wasn't like we could get home any other way. The cops got involved when this freak attempted to lure my friend into his house one day. She was walking alone and he was, as usual, naked.

In my mind it *does* take courage and strength of will to speak your mind and stand up for what you believe in, when you know you are in the minority.

I respectfully disagree. I could agree with your sentiment if we were talking about speaking one's mind in real life, but not on an internet message board.

That I can agree with 100%.  I can't say I have ever gotten upset, I have sat and shook my head a time or two, but, it is always accompanied with a giggle.

So, "reliable sources" have told you that you will likely be banned?  I would really like to know who those reliable sources are.  I can not  think of any reason you would be banned now, since nothing has changed about your posting style from the beginning.

Time will tell if you do get banned, but in the meantime, this comes off as a thread to get others to sing your praises and talk about how wrong admin would be if you were banned.

It is kinda like the folks who start threads about "I am leaving and I am never coming back".  In fact, it is just like that.  Seeking attention.

And there, is the obvious question. Thanks JstAnotherSub. :)

One thing mentioned in this thread, something about there being a death threat because someone said they would smack someone under her care if that someone flashed them in public.....something along those lines.....I didn't read the original.

What is so fucking funny about that. If some dick swinging macho man around these parts said "If anyone dared lay a hand on my woman for any reason, in public, he better be prepared to die!" Or something along those lines. Most of the hetro or bi women around here would be creaming their sitting spot. Nice double standard morons.

I believe you're referring to NS's post. I saw part of that thread. The man in question stated he would smack any woman who flashed him in front of his kids. The woman in question in that same thread stated she would eviscerate him in front of his kids if he dared smack her or any of her "friends". When children are involved, it's an entirely different set of circumstances.

GreedyTop -> RE: a premptive farewell (10/9/2011 6:26:07 AM)

why is love for a partner any less valid a reason to do harm to someone who has harmed the partner?

ETA:

GAH!! That did NOT come out right..

if I love my partner why is my promise to hurt someone who hurts my partner any less valid than promising to hurt someone who hurts my kids?

Iamsemisweet -> RE: a premptive farewell (10/9/2011 6:31:26 AM)

Right on.  This is just like the "Should Hannah be an Administrator" thread of about a month ago.  It wasn't called that, but that is what it quickly turned into.  And the countless threads that have turned into a discussion about Hannah and/or the Fearsome Foursome, or the other countless threads that have turned into arguments about them.  Apparently, they can't be happy if everyone is not talking about them, so here we go again.

ACTually....... I see it as a bunch of insecure twats cannot help but talk about them. Making it a cunt fest.

There are alot of useless flesh and bone bags on here who's existance I usually ignore. You will NEVER EVER see me pissing and whining about them and their stupidity. It would be me sinking to their level...even lower actually.

"violence begets violence"
Imo, the man in question incited the violent threat by making one of his own. If the OP is banned then so should he be banned as well...

In real life, smacking/physically assaulting someone would not be an appropriate response, calling the cops would be..

Exactly.

This was in a small town, btw. People who think small towns are safer are wrong. :)

That i agree with 100%, having grown up in a small town myself. I hate them, I would never live in a small town again, I felt much safer & happier in the big bad city. Its usually naive city people that have this andy from mayberry picture perfect image in their heads that think small town life is so idylic... [8|]

xxblushesxx -> RE: a premptive farewell (10/9/2011 6:45:52 AM)

Ok, wait just a second. The man in question NEVER threatened any violence. What he actually said was that if someone were to expose their privates in front of his children, they would be sorry they did. Threats of eviseration soon ensued, and the merriment began.

As for the obvious question...I'm just guessing here, but it's probably something along the lines of she received a gold letter telling her that if she didn't quit doing stuff like that, she would be perma-banned. Perhaps she feels she can't hold herself back from cursing and threatening people, so that she will eventually be banned? Idk.

If you do get banned Hannah, I do hope Heather and the girls stick around. I enjoy their posts and find them refreshing.

Ah well, yet another stellar example of piss poor reading and comprehension skills coated in a layer of over reaction and stupidity.

Yay!

Personally I feel there shouldn't be any such promises made since violence just isn't the way to go.

But the issue isn't the validity of either promise. Children are vulnerable and require more protection than an adult. Legally if one adult flashes another adult it's considered lewd behaviour or indecent exposure. But if it's an adult flashing a child, there is more than simply indecent exposure involved.
Anyhow, all that aside, one person said he would smack the other if she flashed his kids, whereas that other person said she would eviscerate him in front of his kids if he smacked her or her friends. The latter is a pretty different level of hurting someone than a smack.

I always thought Steel and his girl (well, wife actually) were such a cute couple.

I believe i did read that whole thing a few days ago but it all depends on the exact wording which since thats been pulled we cant see it now.. I did think someone did say "smack" but again, depends on the exact wording and who said what..

I dunno, i didnt think that whole thing back and forth meant anything, it was imo a lot of hot air since people tend to post things that they wouldnt actually do in real life. Imo, its no worse than certain other posters here that continually get away with all sorts of insults, name calling (when someone disagrees with them) but dont get their hands slapped for it..
