The unvarnished truth from NocturnalStalker.

You have articulated my thoughts well...are you reading my mind? ;)

Who's Maggie? I don't believe we've been properly introduced. :D

I'm just a wannabe lawyer.

You are becoming much more likeable.

Young women standing up for their beliefs is nothing new. Standing up and roaring and screaming and kicking and stomping your feet like a two year old isn't new either. That people defend her as though she is the misunderstood underdog of society who exhibts strength and dignity in overcoming all the tragedies in her life shows that the people who seem to act as though they have more sense than anyone else are ridicuously ignorant and lack the sense God gave a gnat.

The blatant cry for attention by this post and the obvious need to see how many people think she is the next best thing to sliced bread is laughable and only surpassed by the fools who think she is anything other than another angry young lesbian in need of therapy and anger management.

There's a school for that ya know. :D

Just out of curiosity....

I see people hammering the "4" for being up front and in peoples' faces.

I also see people making snide, nasty comments to each other about the "4".

Can this get more highschool-ish?

TheFireWithinMe -> RE: a premptive farewell (10/9/2011 4:44:22 PM)

Damn couldn't add the picture to my last post. Here she is.

You would never be like that would you? Come on Tazzy... no one is innocent here. Some just call better attention to themselves than others.

I did think there was a bit of irony there.

One of the possible outcomes here is that none of the 4 will come back and there will be those who will be all atwitter as to whether or not they've been banned, when the reality is, they purposely left, but wanted to leave the impression that they were banned. You missed out on a little tirade by someone who is on the [Awaiting Approval] list. It was quite the thing to see and somewhat indicative of his childish character. I would have thought someone his age would have gotten past that stage. But...c'est la vie. *shrugs*

#1: never back down, stand up to any fucker that wants to tell you what or how you should live. question everything, absolutely fucking everything. distrust any and all forms of authority, they are in it for themselves, not for you. remember, you're all fucking peasants as far as they can see.

Thanks for the polemic, but let's face it Hannah, you're not exactly "Evita" or "Joan of Arc" are ya? and even if you were banned, it would fall a fuck of a long way short of martyrdom. It's not the "authorities" that will lead to your being banned, it's your own behaviour. And much as I scoff at "oldies" talking down to "youngsters", you can totally trust me when I tell you that there is very little you can tell me about how much I should or shouldn't "trust authority" - I was a punk and a member of the anti-nazi league in the 1990's. I've been spat at by mounted policement during the day, fought with members of the BNP during the afternoon and then been spat at by Captain Sensible in the evening while moshing my socks off, pilled-out of my head. Been there, done that, got the Doc Martens.

But we're not talking about revolution, class war, or bringing down the system. The issue is your participation on these boards.

If you don't want to be under moderation, or to face some more severe sanction, it really shouldn't be beyond your wit to figure out what to do.

I'd be sorry to see you banned, because it would be a real failure on your part. All you need to do is summon up the necessary smarts to conduct yourself within TOS, how fucking hard is that?

As it happens, on those occasions when you've thrown "fucktard" and other expletives at me, I've found it more amusing than annoying, and when your nastier posts are removed I'm always disappointed - I think they shouldn't be removed, I think people should be able to read them and judge for themselves. I'd certainly never ask for any of your posts to me to be removed. But I also agree with you from time to time as well.

There are lots of people on these boards who disagree with me, and with whom I disagree - but even though I might fundamentally disagree with someone's point of view, I can always respect someone who carries him or herself with a little bit of dignity.

In my opinion it's a real mark of character when you can disagree vigorously with someone without having to descend to levels of complete obnoxiousness - And you can still invest your responses with plenty of snark if you want to make a point.

So I really would like to continue to agree with you when I think you're onto something, and to disagree vigorously with you when I think you're talking shit, and I really look forward to being told by you when I'm talking shit (and that really has been known).

But the choice really is yours... and I'm going to assume that you have the intelligence that's needed in order to do your thang on the boards without violating TOS, so it really, really is a choice.

tazzygirl -> RE: a premptive farewell (10/9/2011 4:49:17 PM)

Hey, I didnt say anyone was innocent. Nor am I protecting any of the 4. Hannah and I have our issues and we both have been vocal about them to each other.
