How about the OP, who wrote the OP. You know the one you had this need to slap down and show how google able you are.

You may be right, but your almost obsession to be right in this is what you need to look at. I mean seriously tazzy, read your posts. I would swear you are frothing at the mouth to be RIGHT in this.

Okay, if you are right -- what then? You feel vindicated because you found out the actual words in the quote when interpretations of quotes is usually why they are used anyway.

I guess i was trying to get you to realize -- you are obsessed with a quote that you don't even know if the OP was intending to USE it as a quote but used it instead for its interpretation of what she was saying.

Guys, i get what you are saying --- OBAMA rah rah. However, what I AM saying is everything that happened after the last plane crashed on that day even before, was contributing to the capture of bin laden. It's so much BIGGER than Obama and Bush. Strategies used doesn't necessarily mean they didn't work or failed because if they contributed ON centimeter toward the capture of bin laden than they contributed. Obama's leadership wasn't what this was all about, it is about the many and outstanding leaderships involved.

Yoiu can sit there and want to narrow it down and rah rah Obama, but by doing so you disrespect the people who did the WORK on that case.

THAT is my point. The capture of Bin Laden ISN'T and shouldn't be about Obama or Bush or pitting the two against each other. Its about the PEOPLE -- not one or two but a Nation, victims, military personnel, governmental people etc. It was a TEAM that brought Bin Laden down, a team with MANY leaders.

Nope, actually Im laughing about this with someone in cmail at the moment. Nor am I obsessed. What I do find extremely humorous is that a debate between two people that was finished 7 hours ago is now the center of attention.

The quote was wrong. Stranger and I both pointed that out. You dont see it as a quote, others do. Interpretation and all that.

Not if one considers the totality of his "strategy".

Obama did not find Osama Bin Laden. He does not deserve the credit for same. DO NOT disrespect those who risked their lives to go in and get him by giving Obama credit.

Perhaps you were never in the military,if that is so let me explane a few things for you. First the president is the commander and chief of the military. For you to deny the presidents seminal role would seem to indicate your political agenda.

He does deserve acknowledgment of being the President when Osama was caught, he can even be given having a PART a very small part, in it as Commander in Chief.

It would appear that you feel that the presidents role is primarily cerimonial and not functional. It is pretty clear that u.s. history is not your long suit.

As for the OP, i in part agree, i think that our society is becoming way to government controlled. I do believe the scum who are guilty deserve trials as much as the not-guilty do. However, i do believe the government is sanctioning too much of what they are allowed to do in the name of terrorism.

I do believe we need a president who will turn the government back over to the people. But more so, i believe the PEOPLE of the U.S need to start taking responsibility for their part in what our country has become.

What part of what our country has become(in your opinion)is the responsibility of the people?

Allow me to add to that.

Two people were having a debate on the origin of a quote offered by the OP. we both agreed the OP was not correct. We differed on a point, and worked it out ourselves.

7 hours later you storm in to tell us to stop our discussion, that had been over for.. again... quite a few hours.

If its offered in the OP.. its on the table or discussion. Thats just how it works here.

Im sorry that doesnt fit into a neat little package for you. As much as I like you, I wont be talkd down to by you or anyone else.
