ObviousSock1 -> An observation. (10/11/2011 8:31:40 AM)

A few days ago we had a poster start a thread complaining about, and questioning the competence of, some of the Moderators. That thread is gone and the poster is now on moderation ([Awaiting approval]).

This morning we had a poster start a thread complaining that a thread was locked. That thread is gone and the poster is now on moderation ([Awaiting approval]).

Coincidence?

GreedyTop -> RE: An observation. (10/11/2011 8:39:30 AM)

since what goes on behind the scenes is BEHIND THE SCENES, none of us knows what causes the mods to put folks on AA, etc. aside from blatantly obvious TOS violations.

and why does it matter to you anyway?

Is this answer the definitive coincidence?

DeviantlyD -> RE: An observation. (10/11/2011 8:56:29 AM)

To greedy: It matters to the OP since he's probably the AA person from his first description.

To the OP: If you believe the person from your second description was put on AA for the sole reason of her post about a thread getting locked, you would be incorrect. There were additional reasons. So it wasn't one thing.

Arpig -> Good guess, but you're wrong (10/11/2011 9:05:59 AM)

Sorry Dev, but you're wrong.

HeatherMcLeather -> RE: An observation. (10/11/2011 9:13:55 AM)

Ooooo, you're branching out. You didn't accuse one of us, and you didn't quibble over the OP's wording. [:D]

And how do you know this? Please share your inside knowledge of what goes on "behind the scenes", to use Greedy's phrase. Inquiring minds want to know.

nancygirl34652 -> RE: An observation. (10/11/2011 9:37:02 AM)

i dont think she had to have any behind-the-scenes knowledge....it was in the posts that had been done beforehand by that person.

HeatherMcLeather -> RE: An observation. (10/11/2011 9:39:37 AM)

I didn't notice any recent posts of hers missing other than the ones in the pulled thread, so I doubt that.

Edit: Well, I'm curious now, and being the nosey little slut I am, I'm going to write them both and ask them. [:D]

crazyml -> RE: An observation. (10/11/2011 11:10:17 AM)

Very very unlikely to be a coincidence, I'd say - but I'm equally sure it's not a conspiracy either.

For example, it could be (and since I've no idea which thread you're referring to this is a purely hypothetical example) that the first person you mention was being stupid and obnoxious on the thread that was locked, and it could be that they were being stupid and obnoxious in their subsequent comments.

Just hypothetically speaking

poise -> RE: An observation. (10/11/2011 12:02:15 PM)

I like when I'm able to observe crazyml posting.

VideoAdminAlpha -> RE: An observation. (10/11/2011 12:20:43 PM)

It was because they attempted in the new thread that they started to continue the conversation that I locked and stated was locked and said I had no right to decide what was to be discussed here and what was not. If I have to start investigating to find out who sockpuppets belong to that are started with the intention of inciting strife on the boards, the user starting those sockpuppets will face disciplinary action.

Does that satisfy your curiosity? It was patently obvious to those that saw the thread, and any user that is on moderation has been notified why. I would suggest that if anyone has any questions as to why someone else other than themselves are put on moderation to contact that user. It is not fodder for discussion on this board as the moderated party cannot answer here. This thread is now locked for that very reason.
