I would like to know as a lay person here about text hypnosis. Can reading a piece of text that has in someshape or form being worded in a particular manner for the delibrate way of hypnotising or persuading an individual after a piece of text has been read by them make somebody "do" a certain thing or things after reading text hypnosis?

hahaha Well, long ago and far away, there was a Dom on CM into hypnosis. For all I know, he may still be on here. Anyway, we Yahoo IMed for awhile and he tried to hynotize me with lines of text he repeatedly and repeatedly sent me. I knew it was not working, but I played along just to see what his game was.....until he wanted me to get naked. I didn't, of course, and I told him I knew all along that he was a fraud just trying to take advantage of women online. That is my experience.

Something for you to think about. Consider the same argument that was used against Margaret Singer. If there was some symbol that I knew of or some line of text that would make someone do something against their will, why on God's green earth would I be wasting that on getting a blowjob? Sheez, I'd be thinking what I wanted to send to Congress and the President. If I knew of such a thing, I would pretty instantly rule the world at which point getting blowjobs shouldn't be much of a problem.

So you'll know when you've met a person who has that knowledge because they will be "emperor of the earth" -- it would be hard to miss them.

This same answer applies to all forms of "mental programming" -- which is the context in which it was originally used and accepted by the the US legal, scientific, and medical establishments.

Status: offline 		I would say yes and no - no to guaranteeing the outcome, and yes if the outcome you are looking for is to elicit an emotional response, with the odds increasing considerably on how well you know the person.

Just see how many flame wars and trolling spark up on forums - phrasing sentences intended to make people 'spark', or perhaps those sexy texts between new lovers ;)

Is that hypnosis? No, but it does fit if you're talking about persuasion

Status: offline 		my meager experience with hypnosis tells me that the person has to be interested in going along with you from the get-go before it will work. i don't think you can magically coerce an unsuspecting person to "do things" with you if they aren't already interested.
i get a slightly creepy vibe from this post, as if the point is the learn some way to spring hypnotic text on people and get them to do things they wouldn't ordinarily do. =p haha
