It isn't like anyone asked her specifically to come here and answer this thread. So why do you feel the need to announce something that no one specifically asked for?

??

'Cause yours is correct.  I had a 6 where I shoulda, coulda, woulda had a 3.  Hence, double yours.

Yeah, Shallowdeep spotted that.

But I'm glad we're all straightened out (pun intended) now.

Speak English people.
This is why I'm glad my business has no numbers in it.
Hates math and now has nightmares of her alebra, calc and geometry teachers....

The OP was in the language of math, thus the answers are also.

BUT I really quoted you to ask: WHAT business has no numbers in it?  ALL business have numbers in them.  If NOTHING else: income and expenses.  Labor cost is not far behind and we always have taxes.  You might not calculate your own taxes, but taxes are numbers that are in your business.

ProDomme?  Time spent vs. money spent vs. income.  All kinds of ratios and proportions.

Maybe what you meant was, "I run my business instinctively.  Over the years, I can feel my ratios in my bones and don't need to calculate them."

THAT I can agree with.  Also, this was formulas - NOT calculations.  Most business require addition, subtraction and multiplication.  Divisions are for computing averages and not much else.  Engineering?  Yep.  Then you get into putting the numbers INTO the formulas and calculating the results.  And now, with calculators more powerful than the original computers..... well, calculation is almost in the category of cursive.

The original OP was obviously for a math class.  It was testing ones understanding of how to manipulate fractional roots.  Last time I manipulated fractional roots?  Oh.... about post #21 on this string. Time before that?  Junior Math in High School....  45 years ago.... LOL!

What is being taught is a way of thinking about the world.  Nothing more, nothing less.
