I am trying to practice with my snake whip and am wondering what is a good material or object to strike as not to damage the popper or whip. Or any suggestions on a good way to practice without having to hit anything to prepare for the next time I use it on a willing rear end. Thanks in advance.

yeah, its gonna wear regardless, but newspaper with targets on em is real good.

Balloons aren't bad. The idea is to allow the cracker to make contact without breaking. Newspaper is a step above balloons. The thinner the material, the more accurate you get. Remember, you are attempting to practice with something that is comparable with human skin. The thinner and less resilient, the better. Toilet paper is awesome.

Agreed. If you're not practicing at least two or three times a week, you are not qualified for a human target.

I'd recommend one of those leather puffs, I think they were en vogue in the 70's or 80's, great for target practise, use some chalk on the whip and you can see exactly where you hit, that's for target practise. Now once you've mastered hitting exactly the spot you want to hit, move on to paper or balloons to make sure you get the intensity right. It's a lot easier to learn in 2 steps than trying to do it in one.

I practice on bushes and trees. Try to cut the leaves pieces at a time. It works well for me, and also serves as "gardening time";)

There is always the tried and true, a deck of playing cards clothes pinned to a clothes line. Pick your target. Excellent for accuracy. If you are not absolutely sure you can hit the Queen of Hearts in the nose, you're not ready.

I don't know of anyone who has used a snakewhip on a woman whos ultimate target is her nose......... Just needed saying, I took your point.

Cardboard yo. Paints targets (Bullseyes, vagina's, ex or current presidents...) and then start whaling away

some people flick leaves off bushes or trees to practice. i guess it would help with accuracy to hit a small target. =p
