References to "The Mormon Cult" are thick on these pages right now, but how many do you think will come up if Romney is nominated, just for one example.

But for the most part thats all strawman bs... because no, you cant find examples of each of those claims. If its so trivially easy then do it! I dare you.

But, on the other hand - do you not know how trivially easy it would be to post recent examples of leftists on this forum really making similar claims about Conservatives, or even far worse claims?

Recently making thinly veiled death threats, etc, in these forums?

Which party is spewing all that "love" for Mormons?

Where did the term "Mormon cult" come from?

Since his claims are posited using universal terms such as REPUBLICANS and TEA PARTY my assumption is that his claims were universal and real world, not restricted to the confines of this forum and applyint to him personally.

If he meant it that narrowly then you would still have a hard time with something you claim is trivially easy. In fact I dont think you would find it trivially easy to actually identify some random who might have made such a claim as an actual Republican or a Tea Party member if you even find them.

Status: offline 		Exactly, Conservatives are filled with love. Christian Jesus love were Jesus had the poor and sick pay for the food and bread they offered. Thats not hate thats capitalist love. Look at the Tea Party Protest, they were all about free love, loving your fellow neighbor, and world peace. They werent violent at all.

Conservative never got into any fights or assaulted anyone and demand an apology from the person they assaulted. Called people they disagree with names or the like.

But dont take those articles in consideration, look at all these conservative signs. Its all about the love

Poppycock.  Obama won due to several things.  One was Hillary Clinton's stupid decision not to run in caucus states.  One was his phenomenal organization, using social media.  And one was that the GOP brand was damaged by eight years of the unpopular Bush administration.

Obama has been a failure regarding the economy.  Bush decimated it, and Obama's made it worse.

Obama's foreign policy has actually not been that bad.  He's had enough success against AQ that Republicans are muttering that he has not paid Bush due respect.  As though Bush's foreign policy was something to emulate.  He's managed a very tricky Arab Spring fairly well, and handled the Somali pirates well.  Like the economy, though, he hasn't extricated us from Iraq or Afghanistan.

The real knock against Obama is that he's not Reagan.  There was a sunny optimism about Reagan that was infectious, and that is sorely needed now.

Obama's not the dream candidate, admitted.  But he's not that bad. He's just too conservative for a lot of his supporters.




I'd have to agree with you about Clinton seriously misunderestimating Obama in her primary strategy, Steve (and thanks for being the only one to reply to the article!).

You're dead on about Reagan.

Not surprising...when something is obviously true there is no need to point out agreement, just a need to respond to the attack dogs who dont want to see the truth. Thats why you rarely see conservatives/Republicans "piling on", unlike those who think that volume = veracity.
