Vikram Pandit, CEO of one of the most visible Wall Street institutions in Citigroup, said he thinks the sentiments of the Occupy Wall Street protesters are "completely understandable."

"Their sentiments are completely understandable," Pandit said in an interview Wednesday with Andrew Serwer of Fortune Magazine. "The economic recovery is not what we all want it to be, there are a number of people in our country who cant achieve what they are capable of achieving and that's not a good place to be."

Demonstrators have been camped out in Manhattan's financial district since September 17 protesting against income inequality, corporate greed and the power of financial institutions, among other topics. The protests have inspired similar demonstrations across the country.

Pandit's laying the blame on the economy, not the fact that, in a very sucky situation, companies like his get to dine at the big table while the rest of us get scraps.  It's about inequality, not general malaise.

He is being a sarcastic fuck.   Read between the lines--- Pandit says " there are a number of people in our country who cant achieve what they are capable of achieving and that's not a good place to be."  Hard to do Pandit if you don't have a job and there are no jobs out there.    Okay I know work at McDonald's well McDonald's and Burger King won't hire you if you are over qualified and besides places like that give you less than 20 hours a week at $7.25 an hour who can live on that.  Pandit also says "I'd talk about the fact that they should hold Citi and the financial institutions accountable for practicing responsible finance." Yes Mr. Pandit responsible is taking bail out money to give yourself a big fat raise.    Truly responsible.   

What a sarcastic cheap fuck!!!!

well he did say this:
