ok, so have a fucking fireplace in our master bedroom. we have a couple of futons on the floor in front of it and it fucking rocks. its just the perfect place for one of those old time bear skin rugs.

the only problem is none of us feels right with the idea of having some fucking dead bear on our floor, not big on sport hunting and shit.

so the question is:  what would be a good substitute? what would give that same sort of rustic yet exotic feel to the place without having to have some some fuckers hunting trophy on the floor? it has to be able to fit 4 comfortably.

any ideas?

I just bought one for my bedroom beside the bed. Have to say I love walking in and feeling it on my feet.

I was in Walmart the other day and looked at some crazy (think bear fur and neon explosion) throws and rugs that had to be 8 inches thick, with interesting textures from silky to rough.  I have big pillows of black fur, but if I bought a rug out of it I would have to fight my cats over who got to lie down on it.  They outnumber me... [:D]

I have a sheepskin rug, got it at the costco ages ago, it covers a twin bed. So, you would need more than one, but damn that thing is awesome!

I have a dom friend that has one of these though his is much larger and dark fur. My son has a small white one that growls if you bonk it on the nose. These are some of the more reasonably priced ones you can find them in a few other places too.
