OurMissBetty and I met the other night, really just to get to know each other.  (Well, actually - and amazingly - we DID have some financial business to transact.)

What great FUN!

Business done, we discussed our BDSM philosophies a bit, using various boys as examples.  ALL I can say is

"When a gay Dom and straight Domme get together, men in the neighborhood need to condsider their options very carefully."

LOL!

I had a great time, Betty.  Took way too long to finally get together.  Next time, not so long, 'K?

I can just picture the two of you meeting. The beautiful Colorado sky. Mountains in the distance. Then, a sudden stillness in the air, a crack of thunder, a flash of lightening! Evidently followed by good conversation...

Glad you had a positive meet.

Best,

-Sasha

I'm so sorry I didn't see this sooner!

This is my Sunday and it was another hectic weekend, as hopefully you will soon experience, Lance.

It was wonderful and thank you so much for the company.

Happily some of the things you showed me about our non kinky hobby have already proved helpful. :)

As for the BDSM philosophy I think we proved the perfect example of how ideas are not exclusive to gender or orientation and how different communities might have more in common than they think...

Thanks.... but lightning gets there first, speed of light is much greater than speed of sound and all that. LOL!

So, the men saw and heard all that and ran, did they?  No wonder there were none to be "scene." LOL!

Dear Lance,

I smile as I am witness to your wordcraft:

quote:

there were none to be "scene."

With sincerity I do appreciate.

To the matter of this meeting. I am new to these arenas, though the threads of these pursuits have long been present in my life. Like a child of native parents born abroad that grew up enjoying the occasional gifts from family and friends who had traveled to, and or were visiting from, whispered lands of origin; rumored, distant and of a certain alluring mystique.

But recently arrived in these lands myself and having had occasion to visit the town square, the temple and the bizarre I have ascertained that there are a number of divisions amongst, what I now will, with due respect, claim to be - our fellows. And I have read that distinctions are not always maintained courteously and that some groups or associates, or at least some members of said groups, are even at odds, forgetting perhaps, that with rare exception, we rise and fall as one. While some will note this is a truth widespread. It is intelligibly and markedly so for those engaged in the common pursuits that have drawn us all, if only for a time, to this field of open discussion known as Collarme.

So, how nice that you had this meeting in a spirit of open fellowship with one many would claim not from a different camp, but from a different country. Not I myself, I offer; yet a goodly number, and too many I fear. To top it off, it sounds like it went well to boot! Let me add and make a point that I do not intend to declare that such adventures for you are rare. It is simply that having spent some time at Collarme, I am glad to see there are those of substance that engage in détent.

Ourmsbetty herself, sounded sweet bells of kindly declaration when she intoned

quote:

I think we proved the perfect example of how ideas are not exclusive to gender or orientation and how different communities might have more in common than they think...

Thus granting cheer and good hope, and reassuring trust in those of us only newly arrived.

Of course, I repeat, these tenets also, by some, would be said to be of universal nature. I for one and in turn, duty bound, wouldst reply -

So be the veritable open disregard for such philosophy
And validity of exploration of clear possibility,
That should only in truth be lived reality.

And as for what some would call the illicit breaking of boundaries or mixing of classes, I would suggest the future of our “species”, I do not think the wise would disagree, lies in the hands of all who bravely break taboos.

Is that not in what part draws so many, even if unawares, to Collarme? The future of themselves and their dreams or fantatsies...and by extension therefore the future of their extended family and our continued right to free passage, exploration, and conviviality in the lands of tolerance and freedom?

These men we allude to... Here is a moment in history and what did they do? They ran! Not I, dressed in my finery and as I am. I stand and raise my glass to you and ourmsbetty. Brave adventurers living life consciously and with class.

“Good forum.”

Sasha -

What a delightful "piece of posting."  I therefore intone that wonderous, universal indication of mirth delivered:

LOL!

Thereby one discovers and enjoys feliciality.

Hey, Lance.  Ain't no such word as "feliciality," y'know?  Well, yes, but felicity doesn't rhyme and just doesn't scan.

Other side of brain:  "Well, there isn't rhyming in the first three lines, is there?"
Okay.  Let's try adding the word "in" to line 3 and we get:

So be the veritable open disregard for such philosophy
As well as the validity of exploration of clear possibility,
That should only, in truth, be lived as a reality,
Thereby one discovers and enjoys a new found felicity.

Well, more than just adding one word. LOL!

Dear Sashareign,

I also smile as I witness your wordsmithing.  In particular:

quote:

"having had occasion to visit the town square, the temple and the bizarre"

Or did you really mean "the bazaar"?

With equal sincerity I truly appreciate the insight of a new visitor to this strange land.

“Good forum.”
- Lance (who adopts your farewell but this once, for, my friend, I would not adopt your clever bon voyage, leaving it for your exclusive use.)

I'm glad folks are able to meet up and have fun.

Lance's comment about a Gay Dom and a straight Domme scaring the boys reminds me of long ago with my mentor who was a les Domme.

We would be hanging out sharing a pitcher of beer and looking like the all-American couple until something young and hot walked by then the conversation would go someting like.
"YUMMMMMMMMM dinner is served"
"Fuck you, I saw her first"
"Outa the way beginner"
"I'm stronger than you"
"I'm prettier"..........................We got some looks.

Glad to oblige. Let it not be said I did not heed the call!

For myself, I liked feliciality. I was cozy with that. Didn’t give me pause for a second.

And I should add to our small group, some here in this thread others scavenging for
threads of amusement,  wisdom, and winners - all three:

I knew I had found a home!

It has just been such time since I recognized the fine and resonant strains of fidelity with definite overtones of fealty.

quote:

Or did you really mean "the bazaar"?

Hey. When it gets going we can’t always take credit. Truly, in my mind, I was picturing all the multi-colored tents, strange beasts, gold toothed grins, ivory handled blades, and perfumes heavy laden upon the air. And me with a few sovereigns in my sack slung casually over my fighting arm's shoulder.

Freudian slip then? If so I trust it shall be allowed, for those gathered 'round, as not ill meant for any who might be of fair hearing, who I declare as fairer still to behold.

-Sasha

p.s.- Lance, if you post three for every one of mine, I ain’t ever going to catch up!

*Sasha fingers collar and goes back to licking her Vanilla ice cream cone*

Only now with a dash of Jalapeno!
