Dear Lance, I smile as I am witness to your wordcraft: quote:
there were none to be "scene." With sincerity I do appreciate. To the matter of this meeting. I am new to these arenas, though the threads of these pursuits have long been present in my life. Like a child of native parents born abroad that grew up enjoying the occasional gifts from family and friends who had traveled to, and or were visiting from, whispered lands of origin; rumored, distant and of a certain alluring mystique. But recently arrived in these lands myself and having had occasion to visit the town square, the temple and the bizarre I have ascertained that there are a number of divisions amongst, what I now will, with due respect, claim to be - our fellows. And I have read that distinctions are not always maintained courteously and that some groups or associates, or at least some members of said groups, are even at odds, forgetting perhaps, that with rare exception, we rise and fall as one. While some will note this is a truth widespread. It is intelligibly and markedly so for those engaged in the common pursuits that have drawn us all, if only for a time, to this field of open discussion known as Collarme. So, how nice that you had this meeting in a spirit of open fellowship with one many would claim not from a different camp, but from a different country. Not I myself, I offer; yet a goodly number, and too many I fear. To top it off, it sounds like it went well to boot! Let me add and make a point that I do not intend to declare that such adventures for you are rare. It is simply that having spent some time at Collarme, I am glad to see there are those of substance that engage in détent. Ourmsbetty herself, sounded sweet bells of kindly declaration when she intoned quote:
I think we proved the perfect example of how ideas are not exclusive to gender or orientation and how different communities might have more in common than they think... Thus granting cheer and good hope, and reassuring trust in those of us only newly arrived. Of course, I repeat, these tenets also, by some, would be said to be of universal nature. I for one and in turn, duty bound, wouldst reply - So be the veritable open disregard for such philosophy And validity of exploration of clear possibility, That should only in truth be lived reality. And as for what some would call the illicit breaking of boundaries or mixing of classes, I would suggest the future of our “species”, I do not think the wise would disagree, lies in the hands of all who bravely break taboos. Is that not in what part draws so many, even if unawares, to Collarme? The future of themselves and their dreams or fantatsies...and by extension therefore the future of their extended family and our continued right to free passage, exploration, and conviviality in the lands of tolerance and freedom? These men we allude to... Here is a moment in history and what did they do? They ran! Not I, dressed in my finery and as I am. I stand and raise my glass to you and ourmsbetty. Brave adventurers living life consciously and with class. “Good forum.” -Sashareign
