So Vikings let the  British attempts at spelling in olde French decide all eastern Europeans were "slaves" there in Vikingland, back in the 1200's?  (Their ruling class Normans all spoke what was then passing for French primarily at the time.)

Not quite old chap. it was decided before then, the latins pretty well had sclave laid to rest in their language sometime prior to the 6th century. We were popping round to see them way before then, in that area.

The Normans, from Normandy, Nordmanni---well hell ask the English about the Danelaw.

The Phoenicians sort of founded Carthage but the people wholived there during the Punic Wars were of Greek descent and spoke a Greek dialect.

traces of nicotine and a compund found in cocaine. Most people involved think it was contamination by the researchers who did the tests. There is still no evidence of trade.

Do you have some sources for phoenician coins etc. found in New World archaeological sites?

No concrete evidence of a specific cross Atlantic connection, but, there is a lot of circumstantial evidence to suggest at least intermittent contact. And some crazy ideas to explain it as well, one suggesting it was all through Chinese middlemen. As far as it goes, I find it entirely plausible that Phoenicians did make it across the pond, they did sail beyond the Pillars of Hercules to trade for tin in Cornwall, and were known as the greatest mariners of their age. It is not at all unreasonable to assume some contact was made.
