Status: offline 		In pretty much any relationship I have ever been in I have always ended up with marks on my body, often in visible places, very often looking like someone needed to call the battered woman's shelter.
Anything from hickey or choke marks on the neck, bruises or cuts on the arms, rope burn once(never saw that clumsy fuck again) or welts from various hitty things.
Its one of the reasons I started playing paintball, so I would have an easy way to explain it all away at work.
However when my friends ask me, I rather enjoy makign up random stories, or flat out telling them the truth because I don't have any desire to have the cops called.
I bear them with pride even. I love my marks!

How do you feel about marks that are visible?
Any good excuses for when co-workers or friends spot them?

Meaning wouldn't they get suspicious if everytime you got a new guy, bruises started appearing regular, everytime you broke up with one... no more bruises...

I have fun while they're getting made, but I'd just as soon the bruise part not happen. (unfortunately I'm easily bruisable)

When one of those areas are visible and somebody either asks Me about it or is giving Me weird looks, I tell them that the vampires I roll with play rough. It has never gone any farther than that.

Status: offline 		letsee this is a tuffy....I enjoi leaving marks BUT they are for my viewing only...read I mark my bitch where most clothing will cover them. To me seeing a mark is like seeing a tat... definitively tacky...

Marks left in visual places just scream insecurity to me.  The driving need for the whole, wide world to know a relationship exists.

Status: offline 		Only one person ever in all these years has asked about them and that was my best friend and I just told her we liked rough and kinky sex and left it at that. She sometimes asked more questions and I told her the truth. She said I was insane and I told her she needed to stop bossing her men around lol. She never asked me again.

I've never even had doctors ask me. If they did I suppose I'd tell them the same thing. My family all know I'm the biggest klutz on the planet so I'm assuming they think either that or they know I like kinky/rough sex. Never really mattered to me what they thought though.

Since I don't go out getting new men frequently, (I love the one I have) I'll just answer the question simply.

I don't care if marks show. It doesn't matter to me. the again... I also engage in pain play at my local dungeon. I don't care if (s)he leaves welts or bruising on my arms, legs thighs, etc. I loved the cell popping that was done earlier this year.

But to be honest, the bits that are clothed are usually the most fun bits to hurt

Status: offline 		At work I always cover it up when possible, and ask my partners not to leave marks that would be visible at work. If I have to make excuses I usually sigh, look up and go, "I could come up with a good lie, but I won't, I got the marks just to confuse you and make you ask questions."

I'm not any kind of pushover, and I've dealt with abusive partners in the past, the only way someone would think I had been victimized is if I was hospitalized, so I never worry about people assuming I'm being abused(against my will).

As for being shy about my sex life, I'm not, I have two answers for people who ask, either A) that's entirely inappropriate to ask me. or B) I'm a kinkster, google it.

If they didn't want to know, they shouldn't have asked.

Status: offline 		I'm a known klutz and I walk with a cane. When people at work or friends/family see bruises or see me easing into a chair they assume that I either had another accident or that my hip is acting up. Either way there is no need to explain.

Status: offline 		He doesn't aim to leave marks on my lower arms, hands, face, etc. If the areas covered by a pair of jeans and a tee aren't sufficient canvas to mark, then he's got a problem.

Unless of course the op is a stripper and doesn't have any places that are commonly covered.

Status: offline 		i like bruises, but i don't bruise easily (unless i haphazardly wander into a door or a trailer hitch -- accidental bruises last forever, intentional brusies and welts don't at all)
any that do hang around are in areas that aren't going to be visible.

the one time i did have a HUGE visible bruise was when i was being silly and attached a vacuum cup to my forehead. yeeeah i'll never do that again. =p
i explained that by saying i stumbled into a wall. =p

when i got a concussion from rough play, i just said i hit my head on a table (which was true) and left it at that.
