2.57pm: Sky News is showing video of Gaddafi's body being dragged through the streets of Sirte. The image we published earlier seems to be from this video. It was very graphic footage and Sky seemed to change its mind half way through and cut to adverts. Al-Jazeera's James Bays says someone in Tripoli has already made an image of the dead Muammar Gaddafi into a poster.

3:22pmThe Associated Press is saying that the Libyan prime minister, Mahmoud Jibril, has confirmed Gaddafi is dead. and Ash.. I would like to echo Lucy.. :) ETA: 3.32pm: Muammar Gaddafi is dead, the NTC has just announced.

So now we ask, for all those who cried the slippery slope and the massive this and that, what does the libyan campaign ribbon look like? Is there any plans in congress to create one? What is the list of the american forces that are able to recieve it? How many posthumously? Do we have a final bill on this war, is it about what an Iraq is costing or? Including Somalian pirates, Libyan Dictators, and Osama Bin Ladens, I believe W lays at zero, can anyone on the hard right calculate Obamas score in the war on terror? (Cuz I know you are fiscally and macroeconomically innumerate so we will stay in the finger countings) So, since he is going to be a one term president, do you have any terrorists you want to get cakked? Get your requests in now!!!!!! No sense letting your party's crisis go to waste!!!!

I dont see why that would be confusing to other than common garden variety simpletons, frankly. We have a long history of that, and that isnt what is being celebrated. WE (that we is your people left out) are celebrating our continuing (however small) victory in the war on terror, so ineptly undertaken by W et al.
