Reagan’s Undersecretary of Education, former president of the Family Research Council and Republican presidential candidate? He’s got an interesting view on the Occupy Wall Street movement, as he informed supporters of his American Values organization this week. Recalling the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, and the killing of six others, Bauer wrote that the “liberal establishment rushed to judgment and condemned the Tea Party” for the shooting. “As it turns out, the assassin, Jared Loughner, was an apolitical radical who would fit in well with the Occupy Wall Street movement,” Bauer wrote. “A friend told ABC that Loughner was heavily influenced by a movie called ‘Zeitgeist.’ One left-wing reviewer described the movie as containing three central points: ‘Religion in general, and Christianity in particular, are systems of social control. 9/11 was an inside job… And, finally, International Bankers … control our money and our future…’” Bauer is on the board of the Emergency Committee on Israel, which has been busy painting the Occupy Wall Street movement as anti-Semitic. “The media are quick to bemoan the lack of bi-partisan cooperation in Washington,” Bauer writes. “But the pundits and talking heads turn a deaf ear to all the hyperbolic rhetoric on the left. They were quick to point out one or two odd signs at a Tea Party rally, but they ignore the blatant anti-Semitism in the Occupy Wall Street movement.”

Status: offline 		I love how he condemns "hyperbolic rhetoric on the left" immediately after saying an attempted murderer paints a good picture of the movement as a whole. Seriously, if you could convert hypocrisy into energy, we could nock 10% off hydro bills with that alone. Not to mention he's fabricating this into a racial issue (what's antisemitism got to do with anything?!)

Covered in another thread... No one is sure there was an actual incident... the guy who wrote the article is under investigation by his own professional organization and YES, there have ALWAYS been public safety groups and they have in the two sites I have seen working WONDERFULLY. This Baltimore shit is just that ... SHIT. I provided 1 Direct answer from the guy working this week as the Safety Coordinator and one (on request of the woman commenting) indirect remark concerning the incident/non-incident.
The police don't acknowledge anything has happened. No one from the occupation site has been questioned concerning the matter and it is felt that perhaps there is a rape in the area under investigation, but so far, it looks as though it's regular street crime. She also described the relationship with the police as "amenable"  Chris, the safety guy said the 'pamphlet' referred to was one individual's creation and had never been discussed in the GA and something they asked the guy to stop distributing because it wasn't of the group.
  That clear it up?

Cartoonists don't work that hard without being given a mandate from the editor... They are petrified. Compare issues for a sec ... Romney is still a fucking Mormon and it's still a pretty big issue in the christian right churches on Sundays...but they're not even talking about what internally may be one of the biggest GOP issues of 2012.
   Yet THIS (OWS) is 'NOTHING' yet they are all over spending most of their energy trying desperately to discredit it.

Just for the record... I consider OWS People Family... they are a good deal more than a political affiliation to me. It's not like the Tea Party.
