If it's borderline illegal, then it is unethical. You already know that. If you are willing to do something that you can barely skip getting thrown into jail for, and will be disliked and distrusted by all who know you, then you know it's wrong. Beyond that, being a dominant worth having means you have to lead by example. Borderline illegal and unethical does not inspire submission in anyone worth being with. Think about that.
