Your call, Delta, and as I said, the thread was no loss!

The thing with all these "rules" is that they are vague. If we are going NO NECRO, then get the coders to lock threads automatically.

It's like the picture rules that says "no explicit photos". It's too open to interpretation. Be specific, and be OBVIOUS. People who don't even read profiles before writing are not going to read rules.

Unfortunately, what the coders do or do not do is not my area.  As I am sure that  you understand, different people handle different aspects of the site, as different people have different strengths and weaknesses, and areas where they are more suited.

Every person who signs up for an account here has that little check box that says they have affirmed that they have read the stipulations for using the site.  Whether they have actual read it or not, that affirmation swears by legal contract  they have indeed read TOS.  They acknowledge the existence of the same and are provided with the forum guidelings at the top of every forum.

If at any time any user on this board does not agree with a decision that I have made, I am more than happy to attempt to address your concern via private email.  If the matter can still not be resolved, the matter can be turned over to VideoAdminAlpha.

Thank you and please enjoy your day.

So my question is: Is the three month rule a good thing across the board, not at all, or only in most circumstances with some exceptions being allowed?

3 month old threads don't bother me in the least.  I consider them recent enough to warrant looking at.  6 months seems more appropriate to me, but I'll just go with the flow of rules around here.

I do like the idea of color-coding older threads, though, so people can decide if they want to bother with it or not.
