Im watching too, Rich. I do believe that if the cold weather drives them off the streets, the movement will simply move indoors until the weather breaks.

It's an "occupation," Tazzy. You figuring one of the Wall Street banks is going to offer them the lobby? They chose the "occupation" as the central them and symbol of the protest, now they get to shiver with it, or be seen to give up. Piss poor, shortsighted, vision, if you ask me.

Did you ever get a chance to read Rules for Radicals? You have to keep it upbeat, and fun, which is why they designed the zombie march, or the douchebags in today's news, wearing their Star Wars costumes. Maybe they can make corporate snowmen for the cameras, the first time, or stage a big snowball fight, but after that, being outdoors in a northeastern winter is a drag.

Rich, why are you so afraid suddenly? Did the fact that OWS didn't fizzle out as you expected and is now a far more important political movement than the tea party ever was make you afraid for your hopelessly out dated political movement?

LOL, Ken! Afraid??? Where are you dreaming that up from? More important political movement? Show me a 63-64 seat swing in an election to back that laughable assertion.

Fizzle? It's certainly a possibilty for them, especially as the weather turns cold, or if even one or two outposts take a turn towards violence, but they could just easily come together behind some sort of articulate leadership, or, much more likely in my opinion, become as completely co-opted, then ass-raped, as the anti-war protesters were in the '06 cycle. I don't have expectations about them. I'm watching.

Then why are you spending so much time and effort trying to discredit them? It certainly looks like fear from here.

Yeah....They`re going to vote! LMAO!

Try reading the link, Owner59. Of course they'll vote. The question is, how will they vote, and what role will that vote play in '12.

Oh, it's no effort at all, really, Ken. I riffed, just a little, on the victim mentality and spin that lefties so love, and I've offered an article from the left, with a question about how the movement may play into the election.

Would you care to address the question, or are you just going to mischaracterize my position, and hope the question will go away?

No, im figuring most will return to their homes, and some will stay... perhaps trading off nights. Thats the beauty of local "occupations".

You really don't pay one fucking bit of attention to the statements of the posters you reply to, do you, Owner59? If you did, you would know that I most certainly have not said any such thing.

Leaving the sites to be co-opted by the homeless, Tazzy? Gotta love the optics of that.

Personally, those answers will become clearer once the RNC decides who to give the nod too.

All politics are local...

I would not really count on that Tazzy.

Nixon in his reelection had one of the greatest landslide victories in the history of the country but the Senate and House remained solidly Democrat.

Are "some" going to cut it, for the images and news events needed to keep the energy up? And the ones that stay are going to need to focus a lot more on security and personal safety. The homeless get a lot less media attention with a Dem in the White House, but most are out there because of mental health and substance addiction problems. Wonderful neighbors to be sleeping next to.

Perhaps they will cocoon themselves for the winter, and emerge in the spring, the metamorphosis complete, with a clear identity, a coherent vision, and articulate goals. What I doubt though, is that any sort of independence will be left in the new form.

Standard dehumanization tactic. I would never assert that you aren't a person, Sternskipper, but once again, you display yourself as fine example of modern liberalism.

(Somebody wanna quote that for his benefit? LOL)

Amazingly I have alot of experience at being homeless. Slept on the streets for months while working as much as I was allowed. The other homeless never once bothered me.

I'm glad you came through, Tazzy. Working as much as you were allowed??? I'm confused by that.

Im a work a holic. Rarely have I ever worked just one job.. and usually will take all the overtime I can get my hands on. There, it wasnt enough hours, and the schedule didnt allow me to take a second job. I was sorta locked in to a bad cycle.
