I always sort of wondered how the Rolling Stones lasted so long and how they can manage to sell out stadiums at over $100 a ticket. I stumbled across this clip and the back and forth guitar work in the last half has answered that question for me. If you can keep your seat while listening to this then you have no soul.

So, again for the vaguely related question. Pick a band, any band, and see if you can find a YouTube of what you think is the best performance and or version of any given song by that band.

i don't know if this is the best performance by this band, i don't know anything else by them, but this has got to be the best fucking version of cohen's the partisan ever.

I really didn't mean it that way at all. Hannah Lynn has like 3 bazillion MP3s and I think every single song she has is older than me. [:D]

It has been a real musical education living here. H-L is a music Nazi, when she is home we have to use our iPods to listen to newer music.

Some that I find I am really rather surprised that I like is Brian Eno (especially the My Life in the Bush of Ghosts album, that is just an amazing album, it is just EXTRA!! I particularly like Jezebel Spirit and Regiment. That one just gives me chills every time I listen to it, so very beautiful) and King Crimson (I like the sense of it almost being out of control that the music has, a barely restrained chaos almost.) I am becoming quite the Robert Fripp fan. This is one of my favourite clips, it has some great bits:
