No job growth article screams BULLSHIT faster than one that mentions IT and/or software developer. Oh wait.....it didn't specify that growth would take place in the US.

This garbage again?  I'm sorry but you really have no idea what you're talking about.

My company nearly always has IT and software development reqs open.  We're always looking for rockstars and I KNOW we're not the only company who is always looking.

PM me just the name of the firm is it's mass... I'll send 100 men and women better than what they've seen so far ... most mass firms with any kind of IT slot will either not look at the resume of a person out for more than 3 - 6 months or are in the practice of only hiring currently employed individuals... so the reason you have reqs open id HR policy, NOT because there aren't professionals to fill the jobs... if you want em filled, pm me the firm name. I know a ton of talented people who worked at a very high level at the vendor and service side.
Would love to see em back to work.

No, we're just very picky.  When I said we hire rockstars, that wasn't an exaggeration.

Rock stars is the key part there. We hire too, constantly, but we hire across the world, US, India, Brazil... with a lot of the behind the scenes work migrating out. The upfront face of the company is and probably will remain in-country for obvious reasons, but the foundation is changing. Same thing with my last company. All the knock-on-your door types were US and Canadian. The development staff was too until maybe 10 years ago. It migrated to Brazil almost overnight.

They'll still hire you, but you gotta be sharp, quick, and willing to work your ass off.

Funny, YahooNews ran an article within the last few weeks about how IT people in Silicon Valley are living in their cars and tents.
