Bo and I used hand signals on Little Bit and Sushi for sitting down and laying down. Lizard has them trained for sit pretty, where they are sitting down with the front paws in the air. We give them treats for the tricks.

I had a couple of beagles who responded when I whistled "Dixie". They knew we were going to feed them at that tune.

The only down side to so much sweet babies in reach is it makes me want one more than ever and we can't afford a dog right now, so no sweet baby for us yet.

That's okay. Use the time to give your lovin to the dogs at the shelter. You need to be able to walk more so you can walk a dog before you get one of your own. Otherwise it's just going to be unhealthy and I know you don't want that, right?
