Status: offline 		The General Strike is calling upon all students and workers in Oakland to leave their positions on Wednesday and join in solidarity in a march downtown and to attempt to effectively shut the City down.

I read about this yesterday om michellemalkin.com, she had a humorous post on the far lefts strike idea:

But according to your own OP theyre going to "march" downtown and  "attempt" to shut the city down.

If they really were the 99% couldnt they definitely shut the city down just by walking off their jobs?

Just like the "99%" *assume* they speak for everyone. They actually only speak for 47%. The 53% are the ones tired of their taxes going to support freeloading entitlement programs and want the so-called 99% to shut up.

Well "We are the 47%" doesn't look as good on a sign as "We are the 99%," Even if the 99% thing is total bullshit.

They really represent a lot of the fringe, though theres an inkling of some mainstream ideals in some of their propaganda

More wealth for the middle class for example, who couldnt support that

However, the implementation that some of these dredges come up with involves concentration camps and guillotines, for example.
