Happy 125 Birthday Statue of Liberty. An American Icon that warmly welcomed the world's refugees to America, the Land of Freedom. Home to famous poem the New Colossus

Which is why the Statue of Liberty must be torn down and destroyed. The America that existed when the statue of liberty was erected NO Longer exist, we do NOT welcome immigrants with open arms, we do NOT care if you are yearning to breathe free, poor, tired, homeless, or come from a war torn area. We will send you back to which you came because you will STEAL American Jobs, American benefits, and American Entitlements that are for Americans only. Instead the Statue of Liberty should be changed to a giant DO NOT ENTER sign hanging on stone wall covered in barbwire and concrete. It should bigger and badder than the Great Wall of China because we are at War with Immigrants.

Since you want independence Hall and the liberty bell to go why do you hate the US Constitution and Declaration of Independence?

So talking about Immigration Reform and American Icon that represents Immigration is trolling? You really need to pay more attention to politics. Listen to the Republican Presidential Candidates, Michele Bachmann wants a double walled fence, Rand Paul wanted an underground electric fence, Herman Cain wants a electric fence. If thats not enough look up Alabama, Arizona, and Georgia laws they recently passed for immigration.

I agree.

I don't give a fuck what anyone else has to say right now I am talking sense. There was a time when this country needed all the people it could get. It was to our advantage to accept one and all. But these days are over. For years many countries had strict requirements, just for getting a visa. For citizenship you needed [fucking] money.

Over the last few decades this has changed because international forces have persuaded governments to become lax on immigration. What's more this laxness does not apply to the highly skilled engineers and such, only those huddled masses.

Well the fucking fact is if you want to support the huddled masses you need highly skilled engineers. About ten years ago I know this guy from Libya, gets busted a bunch of times on drugs and then after about five times gets an immigration hearing. He had a Catholic church backing him to stay here. This is OK right ?

I am telling you the itme for voting is fucking over, we all know it. Now it's just a matter of when. Will it even be in my lifetime ?

Not likely with this crop of sheeple.

I swear this has just been done. It's a rethread ! I remember seeing a picture of that statue and replying "nice tits", distinctly. This is not the original thread stripped by mods, the dates do not bear that out.

But then I don't think the intent of the thread is the artwork. It's the concept. As a gift from a foreign entity we are not obliged to make it a national shrine or anything of the sort. And the peom is by Emma Lazarus, not the giftors of the statue. What is actually engraved is only the date July IV MDCCLXXVI.

So the whole statue doesn't need to be torn down, just get that plaque off of it. Those huddled masses, they always managed to fuck somehow, and they somehow couldn't control their last country. We need people who will fight. We need people who can get this side of the class war on the move. We lose at every fucking turn. We need revolutionaries, dare I say crackpots. The kind of crackpots who started this country. Willing to die, but much more importantly; willing to kill.

That is the real difference. People who know power don't always completely disregard human life, sometimes they recognize that things need to be done. No excuses. This is not a nursery, this is the world. I say let people in other countries starve, well then I guess I can't ask them for a handout.

That's fine.
