I'm not far from the city, and I bet if I went there to look, I would find people littering everywhere and causing all kinds of havoc, not simply "peacefully protesting." How about instead of news articles of pictures from SOMEONE ELSE, you actually GO THERE and then come back and tell us how peaceful and non disruptive the whole thing is? Because unless you are there, you really don't know. You tell me to go there and you haven't even gone, yet you know people are littering and causing all kinds of havoc. I am far from the city--about 15 hours away. However, I am very active in my local occupation. And we keep a clean camp. Seriously, I doubt Bloomberg was really concerned the generators would cause a fire. If you read the article, you would see the FDNY had inspected them just days ago and no problems were reported. The thing with the generators is similar to what has been happening in my city. TPTB think that if they harass us enough and keep changing the rules, we'll just shut up and go away. But that's not going to happen. Yeah, some people will head home as the cold sets in, but most of us will at least occupy those public spaces part time in rotating shifts so that nobody is in the cold more than a few hours.
