i was 8 when i knew i had desire that were different from other girls my age and 12 then they were explained to me

i personally the submissive part of this relationship always knew something was different but had no idea it had a name until just a few years ago so i would say early 30's

I was over 50 and had never even heard the term BDSM, much less D/s before! But, I can see I've always been submissive. Hell, playing house as a very young girl...I always wanted to be the pet! Yup... how embarrasing is THAT? I've always wondered about it...I've only heard of one other person, a guy, who wanted to be the dog. Go figure...

Oh good grief, I have ALWAYS been bossy and wanted things my way. In retrospect I can see that since I did not GET what I wanted for most of my life, up till recently I would just withdraw. When I am free to be in control and feel "myself" I am much more gregarious and outgoing. If I am in a situation I feel I have to act, I tend to disassociate and act a part. I can do that very well, after all, I have had alot of practice. It just makes for a very miserable ME. Until I discovered BDSM I was truely miserable because I knew there was something lacking, that somehow I was different, even when I had everything that was supposed to make me happy I felt empty. Learning to accept myself has been the most spiritually freeing thing imaginable.

My a-ha moment came when I was about nine and I got tied up as part of some childhood game. I really wanted to be tied up again, but a friend who had been tied up with me was pretty upset by the whole thing She was so upset it made me feel weird for having liked it.
