http://www.huffingtonpost.com/aaron-david-miller/obama-romney-2012_b_1028727.html?ncid=txtlnkushpmg00000024 The HuffPo predicts that Obama will win based on two factors: 1. We tend to reelect sitting Presidents, and 2. Despite the economy being crap, he's basically a likable, photogenic guy. The article predicts that Romney will be his challenger, and that Romney doesn't excite anyone. The obvious question arises, what if someone else becomes the GOP's candidate? I can't think that Perry could win: he's already chickened out of the remaining debates when he desperately needs them to practice. Even Obama's critics acknowledge his oratorical skills and Perry would crash and burn in debates with him. And Perry now can be called a prima donna who doesn't have the gut for the work of a campaign, and just does the easy parts. Cain would be a much more interesting matchup. Cain does have guts and doesn't shirk from debates or speeches. He has the ability to fire up his base in a way that Romney or Perry can't.
