if you used two different stick glues and neither works, it's the paper. The paper you are using has a bit of a gloss on it most likely if it's the heavier printing paper. The glue is not going to adhere to such paper as well. You might have to buy a more expensive glue stick made specifically for that type of paper. You'll probably have to go to a scrapbooking store or a Michael's to find it.

Why not do what you should have done in the first place, take the project wherever you're buying glue, and find someone there who knows about these things.  Even going into Michael's and asking their advice isn't going to cost you anything.  Now THERE'S and idea!!   Instead of having to go through all the posts that aren't helping.

I'm going to call their company and complain and maybe they'll least give me back the 4 bucks I spent.

I ask about the dogs here, cause plenty of experienced people here know about dogs, and I know that, and I don't know of any dog forums where people are active and will answer. I asked a question a few months ago on fet's dog group and not one person answered. It may not be related to kink, but you can get a lot of answers, and fast, and from people who know this kind of thing.

But I wonder why the OP doesn't write the manufacturer and ask. And why she doesn't ask about dog-wrist action on a dog behavior site.

nobody told LadyConstanze to go to a dog site when she posted questions about her dobermans...

calling the company is a good idea; they may not be aware that there's a problem.
the store brand of bread from one of my grocery stores ends up smelling like acetone after about 3 days and will make you sick -- i guarantee they aren't aware of that, so i'm going to call and inform them of that.

I did, they said Elmers would be just fine.

Littlewander, Michaels only had that glue stick I bought, and some liquid glue, and , I don't know how this works but "glue" in a dispenser thingie that looked almost like a fancy white out bottle, where you roll the glue on with an applicator tip.. I may try the fancy white out looking thing. I know I did a horrible job at describing it, I'll try to find a link.

Then instead of looking for a "dog forum" or hoping someone know the answer to the dog-wrist action thing and call a Pet Center where they offer obedience training, if  that's what the dog requires.  Dogs NEED to be trained, and most of the time pet stores offer courses and then you'll have a well-behaved dog.

have you ever tried Mod Podge? it's a great product for sticking/sealing all sorts of things to all sorts of other things. it works well for attaching things to canvas or wood.

Thought about it this morning. I'm worried that it would make the pages buckle and warp, even if it was a thin layer. It might also make it to stiff, the book has to be able to close, even though by adding paper, it's making it a bit harder to anyway, it can't be any harder than it already will be.

They do all their training on site for dogs that need training. I'm gonna sign up I think, but I do not have a dog of my own maybe they'd let me use a shelter dog. I wanna help teach them manners, help make them more adoptable.

this could work but it'd make your project 10 times messier, in that spray would go where you didn't want it most likely, and, it'd make it take longer to do cause each page would have to dry before you could do the next.
