Well dang, Matt. I wanted to beat my nephews and nieces, but they were too busy beating me. I got a swing in every once in awhile. Sometimes, you have to worry about what the kids' hobbies are. At least one kid was a good artist. Oh, I forgot, she was the one that put the most bruises on my face. Well, ya gotta start somewhere.

The most closed minded people I've ever known or worked with (I'm a former NPR reporter and current college professor) are these so called compassionate liberals. Liberalism/socialism or whatever it is.. global warming... it's their religion. Any threat to the orthodoxy is met with extreme intolerance. I am ok as long as I do not ask questions. haha. Now, I will tell you I do not engage my fellow faculty in serious discussions of policy or politics as I'd have more luck talking to a wall. They are not at all interested in diversity of ideas, for instance, unless it is various shades of obama loving big government crony socialism. The nice thing about the occupy protests as we get to see who they are... public poppers, thieves, nut jobs. Gee, sounds like most on collarme.
