I am very pleased myself to hear Cynthia is doing better. Clearly she is not out of the woods, but the prognosis sounds great. I like the "Private Room". Maybe bo could do a dance for her to make her happy?! I also like what a number of people have added here that bo should also tend to himself. Often the caretakers do forget to take care of themselves, and I think we all know bo is in this for the longhaul. So take a few moments for yourself bo. I am sure this has been extremely nerve racking for you.

Also thanks to you Oldhen for your update you posted yesterday. I really breathed a sigh of relief. Now if we can only get Cynthia breathing at full capacity again...

Although I'm pretty new to the boards, I noticed Cynthia right away for her kind attitude. Sorry to hear she's been ill, hoping she'll be out of the hospital and feeling herself again soon.

Thanks, everyone. I am finally home today but am very tired. Can you believe that I seem to have no permanent damage? So okay, I have just 75% of my lungs now but I will work on improving that.

Thanks to those who phoned the hospital I was staying at. Will be back here reading the message boards probably tomorrow and will get back to this thread then.

I cannot believe I have been told to stop or cut back on eating green veggies. Vitamin K goofs up blood thinners.

Mkay, cuz of this I will be starting some threads soon. Yep, they took my birth control pills away from me and I am not allowed to have that ring or that Depo shot either. Gah! Condoms did not work well, and both of us react badly to most lubes (like Liquid Draino got inserted instead), so finding one with some spermicide is going to be a joy.

I am NOT going to sign up for surgery to get my tubes tied just yet, and I don't want my slave to have to have a vasectomy until we have been together for about a year. I am skeered of IUDs, lol, but I am considering one.

Um, ladies...you know what happens when the birth control pill suddenly stops and you are on blood thinners... Gawd I am so out of sorts. <crosses eyes>

At least I sort of understand what long term bondage is like, as I was imprisoned on that bed for seven days, tethered by all kinds of wires and tubes and needles. Not even allowed up to get up to pee, for crying out loud. Yes. BEDPAN. With a twist...my bed had buttons that did not work, including the nurse call button. I was on one, for a pee, for almost an hour while there was a shift change and they forgot me.

With hindsight, I realize I should have yanked out some of my heart monitor cables...

I'm glad to hear you are doing so well!

Were you given information on the medication (blood thinner) you are taking? I do hope so. Aside from some of the greens there are other things (including some herbal remedies and alcohol) that can impact the drug you are taking. What follows is a link that contains a good dietary guideline. http://ods.od.nih.gov/pubs/factsheets/coumadin1.pdf I also hope you are one of the fortunate who stabilizes well on the drug you take, although I'll bet you'll be a pin cushion for a while. :( But on the upside, you're alive, you're doing well and I can only imagine you must feel you've been given a gift to have made it through this as you have. Good luck!! :)
