From Wiki:
The Eleventh Commandment was a phrase used by former President of the United States Ronald Reagan during his 1966 campaign for Governor of California. The Commandment reads: "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican."

That's been tossed overboard lately: http://www.cnn.com/2011/11/02/politics/cain-allegations/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

From the article:

"The controversy took on an even sharper political tone Wednesday when Cain blamed a consultant with ties to Texas Gov. Rick Perry's campaign for leaking information over the sexual harassment allegations."

and

"The Perry campaign suggested the campaign of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney might have been planted the story, a contention denied by Romney forces."

Business as usual. Typically the party out of power first forms a circular firing squad and cuts loose. Then as soon as the convention is over, they sit down, hold hands and sing "kumbaya" together.

The republicans have been attacking each other for years. Remember W and McCain in 2000?

Who the hell would want Rick Perry in the white house?
He reminds me of a used car salesman. He has all the sincerity of Bill Clinton.

P.S. Michael Savage said that Herman Cain has raised another $350,000 since this broke. Maybe he should be thanking Perry.

It`s like the disfunctional family we all knew about at one time or another, where they fight like cats and dogs and it`s normal for them.

Only republicans fight really really dirty, with each other and with dems.

They made war hero John Kerry out to be a war coward. At that year`s National Republican Conv.,they were handing out "band-aids" decorated as Purple Hearts.Medals Kerry earned in Viet Nam for being wounded.

It`s going to be a race to the bottom. But my guess is that President Obama will stay above the frey as he has always done and lead others around him to do the same.

My guess is we won`t have to do much other than point out what the republicans say to win next year. It`s worked pretty well so far.

I am not so sure Obama should stay as above it all as he does. I don't mean republican dirty tricks like this, necessarily, but he lets far too much slide. Remember the repub who shouted "liar" during the Obama address in Congress? That should not have gone unchallenged, Obama should not have let that slide. Even if they don't respect him, they should respect the office.

Before the new media came into being this kind of smear tactic would have had a lot more traction

He couldnt challenge it because he was lying, and he knew it.

Wasn't even a lie, but than, 'facts' and 'evidence' have never been the strong suit of the Republican Party or its mindless followers. Do recall all those 'WMDs' we found in Iraq after being told repeatly by Republicans that some Middle East country had 'massive stockpiles'?

President Obama will stay above the riff-raff that is the norm for '6th grader-like antics' that also has become the norm within the Republican Party. It is rather amusing watching each one of these candidates for the GOP ticket show the American people just how 'presidential' they can be during trivial matters like 'who is the most pure conservative of the bunch'.

You want to know what's really sad about all this shit?

My daughter will get to vote for the first time in the next presidential election...this is something she has been excited about since she was 15...being able to finally vote.

I got home from a job the other day; she was watching the news. She told me that she was so disgusted with the way the candidates acted, that she had lost all excitement and enthusiasm about voting.

That's sad.

Dont let the facts bite you in the ass willbe, he wasn't lying, it has been proven over and over again, and Republicans still deny the truth.

Point of fact, Republicans are very good at denying facts if it suits their purpose to do so.

The point is, the POTUS should not have to put up with some asshole calling him a liar. He should have demanded that the asshole leave, or be removed. That whole thing was outrageous and a disgrace to the GOP. I didn't think even the repubs would stoop that low.
