I am just looking into more BDSM related media and literature. In terms of movies I have seen secretary, The Piano Teacher, The Night Porter and Quills. I heard the movie version of The Story of O was quiet good. In terms of literature I have read The Story of O, Venus in Furs and 120 days of Sodom. Any suggestions would great. Thank you

Anne Rice: Exit to Eden, Belinda, The Beauty Books

The Marketplace Books, although I forget who did them.

Oh yes of course I did read Exit to Eden. It was a very bad movie too. Still haven't completely gotten the Image of Rosie O Donald as a domme out of my head.

I loved Rosie O'Donnell's part in Exit To Eden. A worse film to watch is definitely Preaching To The Perverted.
One I definitely recommend is a French film called Maitresse. Not just because it has the lovely Gerard Depardieu in it, either...
If you like the whole power exchange thing, you might enjoy 91/2 Weeks. Not a brilliant film, but some interesting topics touched on in it, and some not too bad sex scenes as well, of course.
As for literature, I've not really read much BDSM stuff, but I'm sure plenty on here will be able to recommend some reading materials.
Happy reading and watching, anyway.

The Laurell K. Hamilton vampire books are very BDSMish in feel (to me).

For a classic, try De Sade's Justine.

The CSI episodes with a bdsm theme were pretty great, but I'm a bit biased when it comes to that show.

I love Criminal Minds, and haven't seen those episodes, so I'll definitely be interested to see them, as well.

Thanks a lot, I am familiar with De Sade's works I just didn't list it all. I didn't state why I have an interest in this. My main focus is the BDSM literature of media that has had a cultural impact in society and the BDSM scene.

Wendy Swanscombe has written some very creative (sick and twisted) books. You can download the first chapter or so for free from Amazon.

~FR~

There are a whole lot of e-publishers now publishing "erotic romance" with BDSM themes. These books are pushing kink concepts into the mainstream. (Sometimes the authors' understanding of BDSM isn't very good, though).

More popular small press publishers include LooseID, Samhain, Ellora's Cave, Carina Press etc... One of these D/s kinky books by Samhain made to the NYT ebook bestseller list a few months ago (Colters' Daughter by Maya Banks).

Authors of decent BDSM erotic romance include Tymber Dalton, Maya Banks, Delilah Devlin, Maggie Casper, Cherise Sinclair, Kitty Thomas, Anneke Jacob, Annabel Joseph. And ME!!! January Rowe.

Legend of the Seeker clearly had a writer or two with a leather-clad dominatrix fetish.

If you're into short stories, Best Bondage Erotica 2011 was fantastic. (Disclaimer: I was given a free review copy.) I'm a fan of what Rachel Kramer Bussel writes and edits, and Cleis Press puts out a lot of great stuff overall. Greta Christina has published some good stuff, and did some excellent sexuality blogging before she went full-time atheist.

My local Barnes & Noble easily has a dozen BDSM-related books in their anthologies section. A few years ago I went in to pick up a Bible for a religious friend, and decided to get a copy of Hurts So Good for myself. That may be the most surprised look I've ever gotten from a cashier.

Rent the movie "Secretary"
As for "The Story of O", Ive found that leaning back on the ocuch and watching it while being fellated is a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Hi.

I like "Exit to Eden". There's a huge long list of BDSM movies and books listed on GoddessClub.com. I think it's in their area called "Recommendations". |

Hope this helps.
