2 more ships in the waves of freedom to Gaza attacked by the Israeli Navy,

Its almost 5 years people,
how many old had died from not getting his medicine,
how many babies had died from not getting a warm blanket,
how many have to die from this?
how many have to die to break it " other than the 9 turkies",

do you really think, that the Israeli`s will give these 2 ships to Gaza after search?

2 more ships in the waves of freedom to Gaza attacked by the Israeli Navy,

"Ships in the waves of freedom" my ass. It was just a couple of boats. And they weren't "attacked". The offices of a French satirical weekly were attacked recently. Firebombed, to be precise. But not those two boats.

But let's not quibble. How are folks enjoying the waves of freedom in Syria these days? Everyone having a nice lunch with the friendly security forces there?

But ashjor it is more important to you, if I have this correct, to break the blockade than send Medicines and blankets to Gaza.

The ship could have landed, unloaded the goods, and then already be in Gaza now.

The old man could have his blanket and medicine and not die.

He could already have it.

But they chose to make a political event on the seas.

I suppose the blankets and such will have to be held in impound for a while.

But this is a political game, not an attempt to aid the people.

Why do you support making Gazans suffer for your political goals?

You`re usually not one to do cheap highjacks.

There`s not much anyone can do in Syria who already hasn`t done it.

Turkey, who is one of the most hard-line with Syria, is also sympathetic to the Palestinians.

It`s a bit more complicated than Israel good, fuck everyone else.

More to the point what would the Palestinians do with two gigantic ships?

More to the point - what would the Palestinians do with 2 shiploads of medical supplies?

Why are they being denied medical supplies in the first place? It's difficult to argue that medical supplies are of some military significance to 'terrorist' groups Is the point of denying the residents of Gaza medical supplies to ensure that even more of them die as a consequence of Israel's indefensible siege?

The siege of Gaza is collective punishment of a civilian population as "punishment" for the actions of a few radical groups. As such it is illegal under the Geneva Conventions (not that Israel pays the slightest attention to international law but I thought I'd point it out anyway.)

they would have been, if we are talking about anything but not gaza strip,
& the people who did the blockade, is now searching the ships for guns, yeah right.

tell that to the ones how have died in the last 5 years by the lack of Medical supplies........

I hade this youtube link on someone from Scotland, begging some Egyptian police to let him in the Gaza strip 2009 he says:
we dont anything from you
we just want to enter gaza,
you have a mother, a father, a brother & a son ..... each one of you
I just want to talk from my heat..... to your hearts..
you have a heart, listen to your heart.....
we dont have anything between you & us, why do you stand like that,
we will not leave here we can not leave here,
they Got nothing....
they dont eat, drink they dont sleep in homes, only in tents
& we do like this (he put his hands into his ears) but we see
we dont want anything from you.
we dont want to fight you.
we met with alot of chirstians, muslims, & those who do not believe in god, & those who say I am humanitarian
we just want to bring them these medicine to them, Do you prevent your mother from her medicine??
your sister, your daughter?

he speaks in arabic, I hope you would translate.

look to the News, they more like a boats rather a ships,
Point is they are not "gigantic"

PS: what in the hell would they do to a ship? fire it to the moon?
they would rather escape with it, to fire it to the moon & enjoy how the moon looks like on fire.

Ash, even if you believe the flotilla organisers political cause is morally right, I feel the flotillas should be seen as stunts intended to embarrass Israel rather than to bring aid. Just as with the previous flotillas, they were repeatedly asked or told to divert to Ashdod where the aid could be brought by land to Gaza but they always refuse. Would they do this if their cause was purely humanitarian like in other regions where populations are in difficulty? Probably not. Numerous ships had no cargo or silly "symbolic" cargos like balloons. In the 2010 flotilla (where 9 Turks were killed) Hamas refused to accept the aid Israel transported: http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/hamas-blocking-entry-of-flotilla-aid-into-gaza-1.293943 and for the big flotilla during this summer there was an offer for non-Israeli authorities to accompany the transport of aid to Gaza which was also refused.

It's clearly ridiculous to portray Israel as benevolent when it refuses to allow medical supplies into Gaza. We might ask why medical supplies are so dangerous. While we're at it, we might ask why kindergarten materials, pencils or any of the other innocuous items on the Israeli blacklist are denied to the people of Gaza.

If the denial of ordinary everyday items to the residents of Gaza doesn't amount to collective punishment ( an unambiguous war crime ) we might ask why are they being imposed? No one benefits from such petty victimization. There is no military advantage to any one. These measures are entirely punitive and meant to punish the civilian population of Gaza for actions committed by militants. How can anyone expect peace to reign when the Israeli blockade chokes most forms of civilian activity and society in the open air prison aka Gaza?

It's time the siege of Gaza was ended for once and for all. But it's not in Israel's perceived interests to do so, or so Netanyahoo et al are saying. Why do the Likudniks want to keep Gaza on the boil? Perhaps the logic of the Israeli 'withdrawal' from Gaza gives us a clue - "give up Gaza in order to keep the West Bank", as one of Netanyahoo's advisers pithily and accurately put it. Why choose peace when the theft of the West bank can be completed? Israel's punitive policies are coherent and sensible if viewed from this perspective, and from this perspective alone.

Still trolling I see. I won't play that game but I'll briefly explain since that old beef still appears to annoy you for some reason. Your trolling is one of the very reasons I stated that you were a pro-Palestinian since you never objected to any other views I had, and your behaviour toward moi has bizarrely been consistent trollery without exception since that time. And then there is how you objected, with fairly extreme personal attacks that lasted for pages on end. Please note that on the whole I haven't labelled others that express support for the Palestinians as er... "pro-Palestinian" (jeez what a nerve that would be!), just three others I can think of out of quite a large number on here. Your comment above notwithstanding, which was unusual to say the least, I still think you fall into the latter category unless your views have transformed since then. How truly awful of me!

LOL I had hoped you would reply to even one of my posts with a modicum of sincerity but then of course you are a bitter little man. If someone needs to bring a wee bit of sweetness into their life I suspect it is yourself so I suggest you hold on to that cookie... but thanks all the same.
