They run through 11-11-11. There are so many scheduled to go through that nothing is likely to happen. Right? However, there are too many and this is too expensive. Umm, did you ever notice (or bother to find out) that trade shows like MILCOM happen every year around the same date? Same thing for IEEE, MTT-S, IEDM, CTIA, etc. (speaking only of electrical engineering shows here, there would be tons more for every industry sector known to man)? And if you check out the Nightstar drills, you'll find that they are happening in various places around the UK weekly all during October and November. This year the EAS is doing its first nationwide test (great for finding communication disconnects). This obsession with all the events around 11/9 is like firing a shotgun at a barn and then circling the bullseye, crossed with a bit of numerology. We've had years of paranoia on this board from a few folks. Please research your stuff before posting it.

trying to figure out what is going on with the asteroid is mostly fact finding, so I would expect there to be numerous happenings, for future reference Someone elseposted a bunch of * weird* flights and excercises last year... I am just waiting for the asteroid to hit

Forget the asteroid Lucy, my plan to cause every super volcano on the planet to erupt at the same time will cause another ice age along with a few other climate changes reducing the planets population by 75%, then when the asteroid hits, it will hit an ice sheet a few miles thick, unless it hits in the ocean, in which case the wave would probably make a mess of the now extended coast lines around the world. Anyway, when it is all said and done, the Association of Interstellar Governments will be able to come in, retrain the human survivors to be better stewards of the planet, and I will be able to get off this rock.

Yeah, but you tried that last year, and we got isolated snow but not the massive snow. I think you need a bigger antenna!

I watched 10 different broadcasts on it and none mentioned what has been a common observation for more than 5 years. I mean, it adds drama and gives em time and a window to create quite a controversy in the news for a while ... and it's the one somewhat scary aspect of it that's actually true. Any idea why? Maybe they're being told not to make too big a deal out of it? As for all this govt activity? It's probably more related to the date the recount complain went before the supreme court in 2k after the 08 Election Dubyah must've forgot to tell the military to "Stand Down on Plan B"
