butch was being snarky because I raked him over the coals on a couple of recent threads. when he is being sensible, i like his posts. but when it comes to the occupiers, he loses it.

DomKen...I was just using sarcasm and as another poster said …not too well. It is almost hilarious how this story aligns with another discussed elsewhere. In one case it is just a little old lady knocked down…not important and all her fault anyway.

To some in this thread the protest of a group in one case that results in injury is ok where in this case the protesters had boundaries where they could not protest and how dare they cross an imaginary line. It is just hypocritical in my view.

I agree with the lawsuit and hope they receive the max fine but I also believe the actions of ODC protesters although not a direct assault as in this case nonetheless caused injury without even an apology.

Because I agree with the thrust of this thread in general I will not comment anymore except on the subject but I felt it important to point this hypocrisy out.

A St. Louis park is a public accommodation, that all members of the public have a right to use.  The OWS aren't deliberately obstructing other people from using it.  An abortion clinic is a legal private business and no one has the right to deny another access.

I thought the Constitution guarantees the right to protest…any damn time or place you please…what’s with this 15 foot rule…by they way I want to see the video…The Constitution trumps any local or federal laws.

And when you can finally admit you were wrong on a thread instead of in my cmail, then I will reassess my opinion of you.

Until that time, you are a just another whiny man who doesnt know half of what you are whining about.

Federal law. How many people have the occupiers killed? When you are done answering that one, how many people have the right for life killed?

I definitely never said the fall was her own fault. But I am getting the brunt of your pissy ass sarcasm.

You attempt to demean me for not saying "OH no!". The story shows she was released. no need.

Then you refuse to show where your concern was for the two occupiers who are still in the hospital with major injuries.

Yes, you are.

Do they have the right to deny an exit from a private business?

Actually the hypocrisy is all your own. Occupy DC was engaging in civil disobedience for which many were arrested and ticketed. None were involved in what happened to the woman in question.

The anti abortion protesters engaged in assault and battery. That is a fairly obvious difference. One group was non violent and the other was violent.

kdsub -> RE: Federal government sues abortion protester (11/8/2011 3:16:26 PM)

But the result was the same...people got hurt... Your ODC protesters were blocking the exits and this was a direct cause of the woman falling...deny it if you please but then you would be guilty of hypocrisy as well.

I will say once more I do not want to comment in this thread anymore about the ODC incident.

I am steady in my way of thinking…both incidents were wrong and all parties should be punished, fined or at least apologize to those injured.

The direct cause was the push by her son.
