I started wondering if the people who devised that test are actually from Michigan. So many of the answers I chose indicated "great lakes region" or simply "very common in Michigan". But yeah, the devil's night thing seems to have originated in Detroit.

The test is bogus.  If you select "caught = kawt" for Question 6, the result will be "Way down South in the land of cotton."  Bullshit.  Everyone in New York and most people in New Jersey say "kawt" for "caught."  I stopped right there.

Yup. I agree.  My result was Dixie.  Hell, I've been in North Jersey all my life.  And we call the night before halloween "goosie night".  That wasn't even an option.  gees!  I got yer friggin yankee rebel test right here!

Thank goodness my northern-born purity of language and speech has not been overly sullied by my 15 year stay in Texas.    Of course, I'm a natural mimic and I moved down south when I was still impressionably young (11 years old), so a little sullying is to be expected.  I had to alter my speech somewhat or be put on by my peers.  Every single time I'd say "you guys" I'd get a chorus of "We're not guys! We're girls!"  So I eventually adopted y'all when speaking to other people in Texas.  ROFLOL.

How far up in North Jersey? Canada? If you can't get to the Turnpike or Parkway in 15 minutes you can't speak for NJ. Bonus points if you have no nose hair due to growing up within breathing range of the Elizabeth refineries.

Without the choices I remember it being 'Tic-Tac-Toe Night'. 'Mischief Night' only came into vogue during after the urban exodus when you lived in a place where the cars were mostly garaged instead of on the streets. The cars being the 'canvas' for using soap to play tic-tac-toe on the windows. Ivory was best. Then there was always the "Kenny" kid who didn't bring a fresh bar but brought out the slimy one from his mom's bath.

Quite. I have family that spent most of their lives in NYC and they pronounce Caught the same way I do (Kawt)

But I did the rest of it anyhow...
