It is about time something was done with these two obnoxious organisations. This week, it finally happened.
Muslims Against Crusades is a Militant Islamic organisation, which has been banned under several guises over the last decade. Last year at the Cenotaph they decided to burn Poppys and both UK and US flags, they have also clashed with the EDL (English Defence League) Itself no more than a racist organisation. MAC have now been banned for gloryfying terrorism.

Today the EDL had 170 members arrested at the Cenotaph, in a bar called The Red Lion. This was in order to prevent more racist violence. The bar itself holds special memories for me on Armistice day. My nan was chief cook and her sisters worked alongside her there back in the early sixties. When I was about twelve I watched the rememberance day parade (Sunday) from the first floor widow of the pub, sitting across the road from the Royal family and the Cenotaph itself. Thats a ringside seat you wont get in this day and age due to security issues.

Both of these groups are a blot on society, the latter tread a fine line between free speech and preaching violence in order to avoid a ban. The former will return under a new name and get banned again when they eventually start preaching violence (An offence under UK laws)
Whats sad is this will probably get more media coverage than the fact much of the UK came to a standstill for two minutes silnces this morning.
