I made a point of writing all the cheques I could today, just so I could date them 111111. [:D]

She can't find the "11" on the telephone keypad.

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: 11-11-11 (11/11/2011 5:12:20 PM)

And it's Remembrance Day.  I didn't make it to the cermemony here in town.  But here's to all the fallen soldiers, past, present and future who gave or will give their life for freedom.  Maybe not ours anymore, but to people who are oppressed by regimes led by gutless wonders who have no compassion for those they consider the "little people" who make up most of their countries.

MasterG2kTR -> RE: 11-11-11 (11/11/2011 7:08:48 PM)

....AND.....it's the last six digit binary date of the century. The next one we have to wait for the next 89 years   [8|]

actually, canadians have always fucking fought and died for other people's freedoms, never our own. its one of the things that make us different. well us and the kiwis. i'd like to add the aussies in there, but they were actually directly threatened and attacked in ww2, so they can't be in the club.

that's the main reason why remembrance day is special to me, because its to remember all those who died not to defend our freedom, but to go overseas and fight for strangers, people whose fate really had no bearing on our own. to fight for a fucking cause rather than direct self interest. if you don't believe me, just ask the fucking dutch.

The last binary date (excluding the first two year numbers) we will live.

Goodbye, gunga.

Goodbye, SpanishMatMaster. For the record, i like you, and nothing i said was meant to offend. i do think you're overly sensitive, though. Goodbye, and best wishes.
