Honestly...I can't think of a single material thing that I want.

I'm hoping to find true love with someone this year....but it certainly isn't going to be arriving courtesy of a fat guy in a red suit.  come to think of it, Hannukah Harry can't help in that dept either.   I'm praying to Karma Kathy....

It drives me crazy every year because my sons want to know what I want. Nothing. I never want anything and then I heap on the insult that I wish they wouldn't get me anything and just save their money. I'm extremely annoying, I know, because they're going to get stuff anyway. So they strike out with armed with no knowledge at all and usually come up with the most awesome things in the world. A vampire pig piggy bank (I don't know where the inspiration for that came from, I am not a huge fan of vampire or pigs), a set of nunchucks (wtf?) that reside in my bedside drawer, goofy socks w/faces on them, a wicked looking hunting knife (I don't hunt and generally don't need to slaughter anything), a book called "Useless Knowledge", a sparkly sequinned dress (i generally wear gym clothes or pajamas), a wallet with a cat on it wearing glasses, a set of throwing knives, body wash called "Pink Frosted Layer Cake". Are we sensing a theme here? Implements of destruction or whimsy.

One year the youngest gave me perfume and a hilarious story of being descended upon by every scent tester in Macy's and barely making it out alive from the cloud of perfume that enveloped him as the women went nuts for the handsome young man buying perfume for his mother. The scent testers were joined by every woman in the vicinity spraying this poor young man with their suggestion on what he needed to buy. When he came home that day I smelled him as he walked in the door, didn't know where he'd been, and was positive he'd gotten lucky somewhere- which was fine with me. That Christmas I also recieved a new pair of sunglasses for when I ride my motorcycle as the ones I had weren't 'badass' enough and apparently embarrassed the heck out of anyone related to me. Who knew.

Each year I send them out armed with nothing and wait with bated breath to see what they come up with. My all time favorite was 3 years ago when they went to have a professional picture taken of the 3 of them together and they framed an 8 x 10 for me and one for their Dad. This year I plan to shock them and have a suggestion...I need a skeleton. I honestly want a life size skeleton for me to study bones, joint articulations, and muscle origins and insertions. It'll help me immensely with school.

do you have an iPad or tablet.... I heard there are some incredible 3D virtual programs that are almost as good if not better than a full-life replica

I do not have a tablet.
However, I do have access to an incredibly expensive 3D computer program that our school has purchased that does everything since sliced bread with human anatomy. 3D views of whatever I specify and rotating them to perform motions. Unfortunately, and you may know this yourself, understanding physical knowledge....really understanding it....sometimes comes with physical handling. I need to understand inside and out how bones and muscles move and where they attach. The bones aren't enough, it's the tubercles, processes and condyles - all of the landmarks where things attach or insert. If it's in my hands I 'get it' a lot better than looking at it on a screen. Last night I sat with the bf and my little model skeleton on the floor next to him as I tried to palpate all of the landmarks I could find.

I figure it will cost as much as 2-3 textbooks so I think that is still a good investment since next semester I'll be responsible for a shocking amount of memorized facts. I do really appreciate your comment however, and will explore that option more before I make a formal request from the boys  .

What would/do you want your sub/slave to get you for Christmas?

I was told just this weekend that I am limited to getting him 2 gifts.  I already have one gift picked out, now I just need to figure out the other.  I love getting him gifts. :)

I gave M a trip to South Florida, but now he wants to move there and I've just returned after 7 years. It's lovely in November, but TOO HOT April - October.

LafayetteLady, if somebody were to present Me a gift that expensive, the gift would be appreciated but I wouldn't accept it, even if it were black.

A fresh box of Thumb tacts and a big bottle of rubbing alcohol.

He just dropped the radio he uses on job sites into a puddle so I know what he needs. He also likes really oversize mugs. I got him one for the house some years ago but his travel mug lost its lid a while back. However I found a site that makes oversize NFL ones, so he'll get one with the Philadelphia Eagles logo.
