Number one, you have to hide your profile... that is an action not an ignorance.

Two, write what you know and a writer elaborates more, trust me, I know these well.

Three, how can you be sorry you came across in a way you could have prevented, being the writer you are or intend to be and lacking communication? If you are writing about what we do... then you would know it important to act in certain ways so as not to look like you were seeking wank material and how to approach dominant women in a manner that they by the majority wouldn't find offensive.

Four, shyness has nothing to do with stupidity and you just admitted privacy was a concern and reason for hiding your profile which proves it wasn't ignorance in techy computer online stuff.
