Romney said it in the last debate, and tonight he said it again: “We should not pay government workers” more than those in the private sector.

Does this mean he wants a pay cut?

She didn't go back far enough.

I think we should have some "zero-based" thinking about American policies that go back to pre-Roosevelt days.

No, for you partisan "you wanna kill grandma" people, I'm talking about rethinking, and considering the good and the bad that we have built up in our government and society over the last 80 odd years  See if we can remove some of the arterial plaque from our circulatory system, and see what positives we gave up, that perhaps we should reconsider bringing back.

You were going so good pops...than you had to suggest we not do business with them.
Why are you so clueless?
More importantly, how did you reach the age you ha e reached without gaining any sense or intellect?

One could make a very valid argument that tariffs would be used by most of a founding fathers all the way up to Lincoln who favored just those until long after we industrialized the country. But then again...they were patriots.

The facts are that capitalism having no borders or country and not needing anything called 'patriotism,' seeks not only the path of least resistance but also 30c/hr. labor to make their 1000%. So society can go fuck itself.

Society is here to serve me...the capitalist. The capitalist lives to make money and...more money which means, more money and generally...doesn't give a fuck how he goes about doing it.

Such as?

Such as a real paid corporate tax. Such as an equal tax of labor and capital. Such as corp. bringing their cash back from overseas taxed now at 25% or next year at 50% and tariffs on their products until they do.

This country had to wage economic wars its infancy, we challenged foreign competitors and won, partly due to tariffs. The world so needs us more than we need them...it's obvious.

Yet our greedy capitalist scum doesn't want reform and in fact would love to go to N. Korea, they'd beat out the Chinese on price I am sure but their skill level may be an unacceptable expense. The Soviets (Russians) at least the competent, were to smart too settle for 30c/hr.

And partly due to the marines

You might want to look up Alexey Stakhanov. He made considerably more than .30c/hr.
The socialist paid for what you produced and he developed a new process for mining coal and as a result made a buttload of money. He was not the only one just one of the most prominant...made the cover of time magazine back in the 30's.

Hey there's got to be something we can like about a candidate who wishes to remove child welfare and boost defence. I mean, it ought to axiomatic that making weapons and war is more important than saving the lives of infants.

Why has it taken so long for this visionary leader to emerge out of obscurity?

yes we should be more like China. I mean it makes perfect sense. Follow Communist China's lead on how to become less socialist. Why should the government care about it citizens, they should care more about the wealth, elite, and powerful. If they rise up when can arrest, and kill them as being enemies of the state, like they are terrorist or something. What good ever came out of government spending? Public Roads, Public Parks, Public Transportation, Police, Fire, National Weather Service, NASA, the Military, Infrastructures, and etc are all stupid.
