but but theres too much regulation, isnt this just one of the "perks" of being in congress?

Now you know WHY they are concerned about 'regulation' ... the reality is they are a LOT more worried about someone actually 4enforcing the EXISTING regulations.

Guess I missed something.

Anyways, to the OP.

I have always felt that when a politician takes office, their portfolios should no longer be under their personal control. Its silly to believe that someone on the Appropriations Committee who discovers a company they own stock in isnt about to get the contract they were so hoping to get wouldnt sell that stock off in a hurry.

Doesn't matter ... glad this one is here... maybe now the topic can actually be discussed.... What cracks me up the most is there isw plenty of public law alreadey on the books and NO ONE tries to even suggest it is enforced.
