The latest - they're planning to claim that any violation of the TOS of any website could be considered a federal crime.  No basis in existing law or in sanity - the entire point is to give them leverage when chasing cybercriminals.  In other words, they want to criminalize the whole damn cyberworld so they can threaten people.

Simply misrepresenting on the Net would become a federal crime.

Well, there goes five inches of cock length....

Its the pi theory, DS.. divide by 3.14 to get the accurate length.

As far as this working? I dont see how, actually.

Zonie63 -> RE: The Holder DOJ came up with a real turkey this time. (11/16/2011 6:04:59 AM)

I don't see it working either, although I wonder why they don't make a similar law regarding political campaign ads.

tazzygirl -> RE: The Holder DOJ came up with a real turkey this time. (11/16/2011 6:06:26 AM)

Lying about people isnt against TOS....

lovmuffin -> RE: The Holder DOJ came up with a real turkey this time. (11/16/2011 6:15:20 AM)

I think it's another stunt that may not work but the feds are are once again sticking their foot in the water just to see how far they can go and what and what not they can get away with.

TheHeretic -> RE: The Holder DOJ came up with a real turkey this time. (11/16/2011 6:40:31 AM)

Let's hope this idiocy just gets laughed right off the hill.

lovmuffin -> RE: The Holder DOJ came up with a real turkey this time. (11/16/2011 6:43:31 AM)

Lets hope but it's not the same kind of laughing matter like taxing emails or taxing the internet in some way.

How about taxing the posts of those whose political views differ from mine?  Who could object to that?

lovmuffin -> RE: The Holder DOJ came up with a real turkey this time. (11/16/2011 6:58:24 AM)

Thats cool as long as I get a cut.

FirstQuaker -> RE: The Holder DOJ came up with a real turkey this time. (11/16/2011 7:09:38 AM)

Be a shame if they don't enforce such draconian rules on themselves.

CIA Using Social Networks

Mind Your Tweets: The CIA Social Networking Surveillance System

So do the nasty little "misinformation correctors" have to tell everyone they are there to pimp the current government's party line, or collect information on those whose opinions the current regime dislikes too?

You can safely wager none of them are listing "CIA agent spying on this site, and anyone here" on their profile.

And then how does this work offshore? If a Canadian "Misinformation corrector" or a British Foreign Office minder logs into a USASian site, especially if he is a commercial contract employee, is Holder going to extradite him from Toronto, or London . Never mind the Fifty Cent Brigade, I am sure Peking would regard such attempts as some form of entertainment.

I would pay a nickle to see that happen.

I've heard about things like this, and in some forums I've frequented, I find that there are some people who seem too suspiciously pro-government.

FirstQuaker -> RE: The Holder DOJ came up with a real turkey this time. (11/16/2011 8:09:02 AM)

Your suspicions are likely pretty well founded

But it can be entertaining to tear them down if you know who they are. Some make mistakes, or go off script.

Steven, what do you expect from a guy who sues the states for enforcing immigration laws that (he's) supposed to be enforcing *but isn't?*
I hope this passes so I can be one of the tens of millions of internet users who are in "violation" of this law! "Come get me copper!"
Where are they going to hold people after they arrest them for this? We have one football stadium here at Coastal Carolina U
San Fran has the cow palace, NYC has Giants and Jets stadium.
Look at the logistics alone! How do you round up, arrest, and then feed and provide sleeping facilities and medical care for 100,000 people never mind 80 million people?
Here we go again! This Administration is trying to *dictate* to The People!

Ha! "Camps."
How would you arraign all those people? They'd need ten or twenty *times* more judges and public defenders than they have now!
They'd have to have a huge building boom to build enough court houses and jails! They could call them "violation of terms courts and jails."
And we could make say, Wed. or Fri. "Violate the Terms" day! You know, have some fun with it!
Call your local police and tell them you "violated terms" and to come get you! lol
"That's ok buddy, we can't enforce federal law anymore per orders of Eric Holder."

Lucylastic -> RE: The Holder DOJ came up with a real turkey this time. (11/16/2011 12:31:10 PM)

fucking stupid rule, impossible to police, , but impossible to prosecute and more money wasted having to fight against moronic ideas in court.
Lawyers, politicians and big biusiness have an interest not just spying bullshit

This is more of your intellectual dishonesty.
You have been informd on numerous occasions that local law enforcement is empowered to enforce federal law.
You have also been informed that the penality for hiring those who cross the border illegally is $250,000 and five years in the federal slam for each violation.

I hope this passes so I can be one of the tens of millions of internet users who are in "violation" of this law! "Come get me copper!"

That is pretty much what sonny barger said...but when they came for him he walked out like a little girl on prom night head down and hands up.

Where are they going to hold people after they arrest them for this?

Real simple...they let all those in the joint for smoking pot out and suddenly you have a 70% vacancy rate and 70% more prosecutors and 70% more judges.
The math ain't that hard.

Thompson, Sonny Barger? How many Hell's Angels are there, 5, 6 thousand?
A 70% vacancy rate? Out of what, 2 million? Oh that'll help.
Have a nice night.
